A SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER

NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY AARON SORKIN, AND STARRING JESSICA CHASTAIN, IDRIS ELBA, KEVIN COSTNER AND MICHAEL CERA

The true story of the 26-year-old woman behind the most exclusive, high-stakes underground poker game in the world

When Molly Bloom was a little girl in a small Colorado town, she dreamed of a life without rules and limits, a life where she didn’t have to measure up to anyone or anything – where she could become whatever she wanted.

She ultimately got more than she ever could have bargained for.

In Molly’s Game, she takes you through her adventures running an exclusive private poker game catering to Hollywood royalty like Leonardo DiCaprio and Ben Affleck, athletes, billionaires, politicians and financial titans. With rich detail, Molly describes a world of glamour, privilege and secrecy in which she made millions, lived the high life and fearlessly took on the Russian and Italian mobs – until she met the
one adversary she could not outsmart: the United
States government.

Critic reviews

‘It isn't often you come across a story that is both cool and has a lot of heart, and this one does’ Aaron Sorkin

‘Dishes on the covert world of underground gambling and reveals how celebs and billionaires really behave on their downtime behind closed doors’ New York Post

‘I'm reading Molly Bloom's almost unbelievable memoir of her days running one of the world's most exclusive poker games. The amounts of money are obscene, the stakes are high, the characters are slime balls… and it's all true’ The Pool

Almost unbelieveble

This narrator is exceptionally good, and the story, which is true, at no time slacks.
I was held throughout.

Enjoyed the film; loved the book!

I came across the film on Prime Video and was pleasantly surprised how much the film stuck in my mind. A while later I saw the book was available on Audible I couldn't resist adding it to my virtual shelf for my daily commute.

Running at eight and a half hours, the book obviously has a lot more time to tell the story than the film but those hours flew by.

The narrator does an excellent job and is very easy to listen too and sounds not too dissimilar to Jessica Chastain, which is no bad thing.

Great book, better than the movie.

I loved the movie, however, the book is better. Usually read the book first, in this case pleased I saw the movie first.

Amazing story and

Told at a great pace. Although, I’d have preferred the author to narrate the book.

What a woman!

Wow.. I'm on a bit of a streak of reading work by or about extraordinary women at the moment and this definitely fits the bill. Beautifully read and a fast-paced, interesting read - I got through this quickly.

mollys game

she certainly was honest and the insight into la's more seedy side was interesting and repugnant however she seems like a decent enough person and her story about grace was genuine, she got her head turned by illusion and has not really learned anything but it was a enjoyable book , best of luck molly you are a capable woman
