Good read

Really interested read with well placed anticdoes and quips. Does an amazing job to not sensationalise those who he speaks about but covers theirs and the victims stories with detail and empathy. Only negative was the narration was a little slow and lethargic which was fixed by speeding up the audio

a very interesting story

I disagree with the book being poorly written. Quite the contrary. It talks about some of the lesser known serial killers but also about the well-known names while sharing insights that are quite intriguing. Especially the chapters referring to actual conversation with some of those offenders makes for a chilly listen. It's not a catalogue of different killers but rather an exploration into what makes some people so bad. I also appreciated Author's honesty about his personal experiences and view of pedophilia and its perpetrators. I would recommend it.

Really well done.

This simply put, was an unemotional, yet human, and quantified account of this horrible and fascinating subject.

What a load of BS

The author has allegedly interviewed every single serial killer over the last 60 years. Times dates dont make sense. #fraud

Fake

I wasn't really surprised to find out that this book had been withdrawn after the author was found to have fabricated the whole thing. Far too much talk about how wonderful he was, how he only made mistakes when he didn't have the correct information, how his 'insight' was considered black magic by his colleagues. All laid on a bit thick, really.

The narration is okay but it would have been so much better without any attempt at accents. I'm not sure what accents but some kind of accent was attempted. Made it all sound even more fictional.

I didn't finish the audiobook - there didn't seem any point once I'd found out it wasn't true.
