About this listen
Aileen has a few rules for her life. Do her job and go home safe. Keep the supernatural world away from her human family. Stay off the vampire radar. And, above all, don't get involved in spook politics.
But when Liam comes back into town bringing a mystery that threatens the life she's built, she finds every closely guarded rule flying out the window as she sinks ever deeper into the supernatural world.
Ultimately, it may be the people she loves the most who pay the price in the high-stakes game that vampires call life.

Love these funny novels of a female vampire coming into her powers
Well narrated- I preferred this to the first story. It’s the same narrator but I feel she’s getting more into the Eileen Travers character. Good to see Eileen learning about her powers and developing relationships in the supernatural community, even if she doesn’t want them! Her and Liam are a hoot too- love these scenes of them together. Some good scary scenes too, make great listening. I’ll definitely get the next one.

Love the story and very good orator
i loved book 1 and was not disappointed with book 2. The author does an amazing job with the twists and plots of the story. I love to listen to the thoughts and inner monologue of Aileen, and i love the tension between her and Liam. I really like being part of her story when she learns something new about her supernatural life as a vampire, and her stubberness to be herself among so many sups that follow the ‘rules’. I dont have any negative comments, which is rare since i listen to a lot of YA supernatural/fantasy books.

Aileen grows on you
Another hit n this series which appears to get stronger with each novel .? I love the arrogance of Liam and the attitude of Aileen . So Aileen finds out where she was made and helps her sire become the master of the area . The narrator reads the novel in a sardonic way , which I like it suits Aileen .
