Summary
Five hours. Four points of view.
Vincent is a wealthy banker living in one of the plushest penthouses Dublin has to offer.
Ryan is a former PR executive who quit his job in an attempt to write a best-selling novel.
Jack is a former member of one of Dublin’s notorious crime gangs, keen to get away from his illicit past.
Darragh is young and dumb, desperate to make a name for himself in gangland circles.
Over the course of five hours, during one strange spring morning in Dublin, all four of their worlds collide. But what brings them together? And whose dark past will come back to haunt them the most? They don’t have long to find out; they have only until Midday. And the clock is ticking....

Couldn't put down
Ending a bit predictable. But very enjoyable, characters were engaging, reading was very good, accents very good

Clever, tight writing - keeps you engaged
Enjoyed this. Tight writing. Holds nothing back at times. Characters, while not likeable, are well developed. It all comes together neatly and leaves the reader satisfied.

4 stars
I liked the idea of 4 main characters with 4 different view points of the same time/ event that was happening. The voice actors were great. You got to grips with each character quickly.
There are some twists in this book that I did not expect and some I found uncomfortable but it came together well and I listened to the whole book in a few days whilst out walking.
There is a lot of swearing/ crude actions so be aware of that.

Audio bk has major difference at end to print bk!
I don't want to give any spoilers here, but I "read" this as a book group choice. When we met to discuss it, the others laughed at me when we started discussing the final chapter. I was certain I'd got the relationship right, so we exchanged paragraphs the next day. It is written completely differently in the audible and print versions! Bizzare!
The best thing about this was the performances, which I thought were very good. The characters were also well drawn, but I didn't really care what happened to them and just wanted it to end.
