Interesting historical collection of funny stories
What did you like best about Masterpieces of Humour? What did you like least?
This little collection of out-of-copyright stories collects some classics of humour, some of which will be familiar to those of a certain age.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Not applicable. These are short stories.
Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Cathy Dobson?
I have no suggestions, but Cathy Dobson has an unconventional way of narrating (both in inflexion and the pronunciation of words) which gets in the way of the story. One gets used to it, but all the same it is not very appealing.

A bumper collection
A nicely varied selection of tales, although there's nothing here written after the 1930's, so be prepared for a charmingly wry and sedate writing style. The reader's vocal style is quite distinctive, so I suggest listening to a snippet to see if you like her voice before purchasing.
