Summary
My life wasn't that exciting; a degree in engineering, a small flat in London, and an ex-girlfriend who still texted me when she was drunk. Every day was a bore.
Everything changed when I found myself in Lanercost, a small medieval village, with no idea of how I arrived. The locals seemed friendly, and a chance encounter introduced me to several breathtakingly beautiful women. I decided to make the best of it. Armed with only a solid education, my wit, and the five pennies in my pocket, I decided to build a life here. No, not just a life; a House that would last for generations. A kingdom. I was going to conquer.
Of course, there were a few things I had to deal with before I could become king: some ghosts, the local constable who hated my guts, and that whole lack of money thing. Oh, and a freakin' dragon.

Seriously!?
Honestly this was a great take on the transferred to a new world trope, MC is likeable and his partial amnesia allows for a lot of potential. Him not having a system to guide him and so having to struggle with things was pretty good as well. Honestly a bit gutted about Pickles but was a great start for a series so I'll definitely be getting book 2.

Amazing start
Micky Carre did an amazing job with this first instalment of a must follow series. James is a great character to get to know and join on his adventure in a new world with interesting characters. Andrew Pond and Erin Bateman did the character proud with the narration.

Interesting story, good start
An interesting new story with new additions to the genre. Feels like it could have some more detail, although the plot is fine.

A kingdom-Building Medieval fantasy
The series is off to a great start. The MC is smart and ambitious, and there are a lot of beautiful women. The characters are well written, and this book is fun and engaging. the narration is pretty good. Can't wait for book 2.

An Englishman in Pajamas Walks in a Medieval Town
MC finds himself in pajamas and slippers walking through a Medieval Town with no memory of how he got there as he recalls who he is.
The books has a slow start and takes a little while to get into but once the story picked up I didn't want it to end.
If you like Fostering Faust or Tyranny of Steel then you should give this book a try.

Finding your way in a new world, its character building - lol
I usually avoid Harem LitRPG, often skipping the harem elements, so am genially super used at my self that with this book I didn’t.
The story is a classic where the MC wakes up and find them on a new world, has to learn to survive in this new world.
I hate spoilers, but like the link to our world, the characters are well defined, with a great underlying story. I have high hopes one the characters is able to magically return (hint to the writer). The harem elements aren’t like other books which are often over the top and don’t detract from the story.
The narrator(s) are clear and have a good variety of voice variations for the various characters.
