About this listen
When magic strikes and Atlanta goes to pieces, it's a job for Kate Daniels...
Drafted into working for the Order of Merciful Aid, mercenary Kate Daniels has more paranormal problems than she knows what to do with these days. And in Atlanta, where magic comes and goes like the tide, that's saying a lot.
But when Kate's werewolf friend Derek is discovered nearly dead, she must confront her greatest challenge yet. As her investigation leads her to the Midnight Games - an invitation only, no holds barred, ultimate preternatural fighting tournament - she and Curran, the Lord of the Beasts, uncover a dark plot that may forever alter the face of Atlanta's shapeshifting community...

Excellent series
I love the Kate Daniels series. Each book is better than the last one, that’s not to say the last one is bad, they’re great, they just keep getting better and better. I love the increasing sexual tension between Kate and Curran. The story itself is great. It’s interesting and complex with a great finale.

Best One Yet
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Brilliant story and very happy with the narrator's performance. The last book's character voices were awful but this time she got them right I think. No silly voices and very well read.

Best one of the series so far!
This book was so much fun! More fast paced and fun-packed than the previous two. If you struggled with them definitely give this one a try, you won’t regret it

Excellent book
The complex plot always delivers. You know it hasn’t come to the end because there are still pages left. How do they pack so much in its brilliant.

Magic
Action. Gore. Magic. Love. Lots to sink your teeth into.
I read the reviews for books 1 and 2 and decided that I would start with book 3. Thus, it took a few chapters to get into it.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of action and gore. A little bit of love and cuddles. But the main story is the interesting characters and situations. I can definitely say that this isn’t a predictable story.
The narrator is fantastic as she reads with emotion and skill. She creates a whole world with her voice. Kudos.

Absolutely love this story. Period.
The third in series is more humorous than the first two, or I have recovered enough from the suspense in the first two books to enjoy the humor? Starting to trust the authors to not kill off my favorite characters? The third book also is more romantic, more space for personal relationships etc. While I don´t think the first two can be more perfect, this change in tempo is welcome. Don´t feel the storyline is any less than before. Am very fond of the interaction of the characters, as well as the storyline, plots and world building. I also absolutely love how the authors take myths from different parts of the world, and reshape it to their own world for the story. Sigh (and lolling drowsy like a happy cat in the sun). Another part to love is that the authors are able to write a storyline that is in part hugely traumatic, and not bring the story to it´s knees in anxiety and dread. Can not express how happy I am about that. Or this series as a whole while on that topic. Flawless. Adorable. Wonderful …
Oh yeah, could not bring myself to stop to finish a review after this book was finished, had to finish next in series too. And start on the next there after.
