Summary
Critic reviews
"A brilliantly funny writer, perhaps the most consistently funny the English language has yet produced." (The Times [London])
"In this superb volume of short stories featuring some of his favorite characters, Nigel Lambert sounds as if Wodehouse himself directed him. His timing is flawless, his characterizations masterful.... This is a great comic interpreting the work of a great humorist." (AudioFile)

Wodehouse brought superbly to life
What did you like most about Lord Emsworth and Others?
Echoing the other reviews - have always loved reading Wodehouse, but Nigel Lambert is absolutely brilliant ! Its rare to have a reader do male and female voices, young and old equally well but he is just perfect.

Always a joy
Yet more wonderful, eccentric stories from a master. Beautifully captures a different time with wit and character

I have long loved PG Wodehouse - and now I feel the same about Nigel Lambert who is unutterably superb as the reader, the bringer to life, of this lovely collection of stories.

Enjoyable
Gently humorous, enjoyable, though not Wodehouse at his best. Beautifully narrated by Nigel Lambert.

Wodehouse again
The usual amusing stories - but a little disappointed with the narrator - but Jonathan Cecil is a hard act to follow.

Poor Structure
Excellent PG Wodehouse fare (as always) but rather let down by the decision to format 9 stories into 8 chapters rather than 9 with the consequent inevitable result that apart from Chapter 1 and story 1 no succeeding story began with its own chapter, Made selection of individual stories a tortuous process. Just so dumb 🥺

A Treat
This is a truly wonderful Audiobook
It is warm, funny, brilliantly observed, and superbly narrated by Nigel Lambert who misses neither shade nor rib tickling nuance.
Not to be missed.

excellent narration makes lord emsworth come to life . many fans of wodehouse prefer the blandings and lord emsworth to the jeeves stories I am not worthy to judge such a master of his craft I can read wodehouse time and time and always find some new quip.

The Crime Wave at Blandings
Full disclosure. I just listened to the first story. I wanted to only listen to the Blandings story as I am a huge fan of the series and I’m reading all the books in order. For those that love the series, it really is excellent. I cannot recommend it highly enough. A really funny story, consummately written, and it shows our favourite characters in a new life. A total delight. Oh, and expertly narrated, as usual.

Unmissable
I've always been a big fan of the dramatised PG Wodehouse audiobooks, but Nigel Lambert does an equally brilliant job portraying dozens of different characters, from doddery Lord Emsworth to forceful Lady Constance, taking in numerous nieces and ne-er do wells along the way with apparent effortlessness. The stories are a summery delight. Fans of Wodehouse should definitely not miss this.
