About this listen

Damian thinks it's just one night. Salem thinks Damian's just another customer. They're both wrong.

Damien grew up so poor even dirt was richer. So when the government approached him with a devil's deal, he leaped at a chance to provide for his parents and the rest of his family. All he had to give up was everything - his history, his pack, even his name. In return, his family would get his military pension, paid out as if he'd served his 20. It had seemed like a good deal at the time.

Now, nameless, packless, and essentially friendless, he's not so sure. Lone wolves are lonely, but his pack thinks he's dead, and so he finds himself at the doors of the notorious brothels of Nevada Ashes, looking for a little make believe, a little taste of home.

Salem wasn't the prettiest omega in Nevada Ashes, but when an omega was in heat, that didn't matter. The humans lined up for an hour of his time, and he and the pack raked in that sweet, sweet human money. Only a year and a half into his career and already at the top of the pay structure, he's determined to be no alpha's trophy. When he decides to mate, he wants to choose the alpha, not be chosen by one.

Until a "date" like no other proves his undoing, leaving Salem with a baby on the way and no idea who the sire is - a shifter who smelled like a human. With no alpha in sight, Salem's got some hard choices to make, choices that could very well destroy the future he dreamed of for himself.

But Damian still remembers the omega who showed him kindness just when he most needed it. Remembers, and craves. When he learns of the baby, he risks it all to return to Salem and claim the omega for his own. But can Salem forgive the deception, or will Damian be forever a lone wolf?

Note: Lone Wolf's Omega is a story set in the Mercy Hills Universe but not directly a part of the main series storyline. It is not necessary to listen to this book to enjoy the main series. Solid companion piece for the series

As a fan of the series I have always wanted a peek at the other enclaves just to satisfy my curiosity and I was not disappointed.
Damien and Salem have had to face some harsh realities in order to survive but in no way has made them weak.
In fact, I love how strong the characters are in this series in spite of their circumstances.
It's part of what keeps drawing me back in.
The connection and chemistry between these two was instantaneous and scorching.
I loved how protective and defensive of Damien Salem was, how he just wanted to be home for him.
Nick J. Russo has done a wonderful job of narrating these characters as usual.

This is a fab story I loved how Salem and lone wolf Damien meet and how an unplanned pregnancy causes some problems can be together.

Wonderful!

Any story part of the Mercy Hills Universe is a must read for me, but this book is also one of the most interesting in the series because opens a whole many possibilities in the general plot. Damian and Salem's story is a wonderful one, is about fighting against system and the establishment for love and family. Some parts of this book broke my heart but at the end any angst and any bad situation was worthy the amazing final. Another captivating story in one of the best and complete universes that have been ever written. Now, Mr. Russo is also one of my favorite voice actors ever therefore I am sorry but I cannot be impartial. I loved so much how he managed the personality and emotions of every single character in the story and how charismatic and entertaining is his narration and performance in general. So, one of my favorite books narrated by one of my favorite voice actors... a must read for any fan of the series and a must reread for me. Wonderful!!
