About this listen
A delectable collection of 22 short stories centred around people travelling on the London Underground.
We meet a young couple travelling nervously to Seven Sisters for their first wife-swapping party; there's Annie's Pimlico Hotel, which is only open for specially-chosen guests; Rita, the mysterious temp, who lives in Notting Hill Gate; and Sophie, who runs a handbag shop at Marble Arch. All the stories have in common Maeve Binchy's delicious humour and warmth.

Very interesting group of stories. Maeve Binchy really is as excellent as ever and Kate Binchy without her Irish accent for once Great stuff.

Great
Creative short stories that reflect of what it is to be human under the umbrella of London's tube stations. I found them incredibly entertaining, especially the kings cross one. It's my favourite.

Disappointing
Normally love Maeve Binchy books but this was disappointing - felt none of the stories went anywhere and just ended and narrator seemed to put on a false ‘posh’ accent

Tedious.
The authoress narrates the whole book of short stories. She speaks in an old fashioned BBC accent using the same voice for all characters so all characters merge into one another. Using a more versatile reader would improve the book no end.
