About this listen
Liv had her life all figured out until it was shattered by the loss of her husband. He left her a piece of him she hadn’t planned on. How can she pick up the pieces when she doesn’t know where to begin?
Liv: I never imagined my life would end up this way. I thought I had everything figured out until I got the call my husband was killed in a car accident and that my period was late.
Dead Husband: Check. Positive Pregnancy Test: Check. Screwed Beyond Belief?: Double Check.
Luke: I was never supposed to see her again. That was the deal. Leave her and my ex-best friend behind to finally mend my broken heart and move on with life. And it was going smoothly, too. That is, until said ex-best friend dies and his wife, Liv, lets a secret slip at his funeral that I can’t possibly ignore.
Out of my freaking mind?: Check. Extremely Angry Girlfriend who will kill me when she finds out I have a new roommate?: Check. About to get my heart ripped in two?: Double Check.

This was a great listen!!
Liv’s story is a great love story. You may not think so at the beginning, as she has just lost her husband who she loved deeply, and she found out she was pregnant on the day of his funeral.
This is a story of love lost, found and lived by people who truly care for each other and know what it is to care for another person. There are many side stories here and they all make the story more compelling and a great listen.
This is my first Kelsie Rae book but not my last. I like her writing style.
Amanda Stribling does a wonderful job with the narration as well!!

Sweet Story
I really loved Liv. It’s a story about not sharing how you truly feel when you have the chance and having the moment pass you by. It was also about healing, forgiveness and second chances. Liv and Luke’s story was a heartwarming one. The opening was very sad and I definitely cried but as the story went on I felt hope and joy for the two. I’m very glad I was introduced to this author. I look forward to reading Breezy’s (Luke’s sister) story.

Solid Read!
Audiobook review. 3.5 Stars. The story was solid all around with a consistent flow, strong prose, and dynamic enough characters. The plot was ok. Nothing that was different or unexpected, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Especially when you’re in the mood for something that won’t throw a wrench into a plot for the sake of it.
Luke was a hero that wore his heart on his sleeve. He always thought of others before himself and was kind and protective. I would’ve liked to have seen a little more imperfection from him but he is definitely a dream man for our heroine. I’m trying to decide if Liv was blind or naive to Luke and his feelings. Either way, she got a tough deal and is trying to figure herself out. She was a bit dependent for my tastes but ok overall.
The narrator, Amanda Stribling, did a good job. Her transitions were smooth, her pace was steady, and her tone clear. She gave the characters life with her intensity and inflections.

Sweet and Enjoyable!
Such a sweet, emotional, modern romance!
Luke, Adam and Liv were friends in high school. Liv and Adam were dating and Luke was in love with Liv. So, upon graduation, Luke goes his own way and Liv and Adam get married. Fast forward a few years, Liv is widowed and pregnant. She comes face to face with her best friend, Luke, at Adam's funeral. Despite moving on with his life, Luke cannot help extend a helping hand to his high school love. Together they face the realities of pregnancy, past secrets and mistakes.
The plot is really simple and the narrative performance is very easy to listen to. Perhaps what I liked best is the very human and realistic aspects of this story. Each character has to make difficult decisions and suffer the repercussions of their choices. Certainly something I can relate to!

Heartbreaking beginning, happy ending
Liv is a tear jerker.
My heart breaks for Liv. She looses her husband but there is a silver lining. She’s pregnant.
Luke is her best friend from high school. And has been in love her from the beginning. When Liv loses her husband Luke steps in and takes care of her. He so sweet and soft with her.
I really enjoyed listening to these two fall in love. They’re the cutest couple.
This is my first listen of Amanda Stribling and I really enjoyed her narration. She did a great job!

Sweet Story
I really enjoyed this audio book this sweet story of second chances. The two main characters are well developed and well written and I liked that the author didn't put them together straight away, despite the fact that Luke has always loved Liv. The secondary characters were also great and added another dimension to the story - I even felt for Liv's mother-in-law. The narration was great and at first I thought it would be odd a female doing the male part as well, but she really pulled it off. I would definitely listen to/read another book by this author.

LOVED IT!
ahh I absolutely loved this story! I felt really bad for Liv having lost her husband and then she finds out shes pregnant, thank god she has her best friend there to help her out , she just didn't realise quite how much help she would get
this story had everything , was funny in places and sad too but i was hooked , needing to find out what was going to happen next, I hope the other books in the series come out soon on audio but if not then they're definitely a series I'm going to binge read on my kindle
the narrator couldn't have been more perfect and she did both female and male parts brilliantly .
a must listen.

Beautiful second chance!
Luke has been in love with Liv since he met her. Well before Adam sweeps her off her feet. Now, years later they have found each other through grief. Luke is so my book boyfriend type! He is loving and sexy. Liv had no chance against him. Good narrator too.
