Summary

The classic inspirational parable from the top motivation and marketing trainer and number-one New York Times best-selling author of The Millionaire Messenger - a triumphant tale of personal growth and change that will inspire anyone who has ever wished for a second chance.

What if you were handed a golden ticket that could magically start your life anew?

That question is at the heart of Life's Golden Ticket. Brendon Burchard tells the story of a man who is so trapped in the prison of his past that he cannot see the possibilities, the choices, and the gifts before him. To soothe his fiancée, Mary, clinging to life in a hospital bed, the man takes the envelope she offers and heads to an old, abandoned amusement park that she begs him to visit.

To his surprise, when he steps through the rusted entrance gates, the park magically comes to life. Guided by the wise groundskeeper, Henry, the man will encounter park employees, answer difficult questions, overcome obstacles, listen to lessons from those wiser than he, and take a hard look at himself.

At the end of his journey, the man opens Mary's mysterious envelope. Inside is a golden ticket - the final phase in turning his tragic life's story of loss and regret into a triumphant tale of love and redemption.

Magical

This is an unbelievably magical book that seemed as if it was written for me. I'm sure every reader will feel the same as it gradually casts its spell. Very moving and thought provoking, the various teachings are really profound. It uses the metaphor of an amusement park and the various rides to lead the listener along an enchanting journey that will lead you to challenge your thinking about life. If you're seeking answers or just looking for some life wisdom then I thoroughly recommend it.

Give it a chance and you will not be dissapointed!

Prior to downloading this audio book I decided to take a look at the review and saw some people take issue with the way in which it is written and the details within the story which include a Wizard, various rides a theme park etc.

This book needs to be read with an open mind, each ride and tutor provide a valuable lesson to the reader regarding the way in which they are currently living their life and urges you to take responsibility for your actions and emotions and commit to moving forward.

This book is brilliant and very thought provoking. I would highly recommend!

Incredible story and book

it is hard to put into words what this book is about and how it will effect those who listen.

A powerful message within a wonderful story and adventure. I couldn't stop listening and shall listen again.

A very different kind of personal development book, and read beautifully by the narrator. I thoroughly recommend it.

I hoped for much more

Reading the reviews was what helped me decide to purchase this book. I enjoy anything that helps get me on a more positive frequency and I am definitely a non-fiction person, so selecting this book which was based more in fiction was out of character, but I was open to getting the same buzz from it that other reviewers have spoken about.

Oh.

It's really not for me. The story was quite laboured, and it just seemed to be a little bit better suited to someone who either prefers fiction, or who doesn't particularly want to better themselves, but rather wants an enjoyable up-beat distraction? All a little bit too predictable for me and better suited to a younger audience.
