Summary
A Horus Heresy Anthology
Only from out of great conflict can true heroes arise. With the galaxy aflame and war on an unimaginable scale tearing the Imperium apart, champions venture onto countless fields of battle in service to their masters.
Listen to it because
This Horus Heresy anthology contains eighteen short stories by authors such as Graham McNeill, Aaron Dembski-Bowden, Nick Kyme, and many more. Also, Chris Wraight’s acclaimed novella Brotherhood of the Storm delves into the nature of the elusive White Scars Legion, and their questionable sense of duty to the Emperor.
The story
Only from out of great conflict can true heroes arise. With the galaxy aflame and war on an unimaginable scale tearing the Imperium apart, champions from both sides of the Horus Heresy venture onto countless fields of battle in service to their masters. It’s good, but a lot of the stories are simply repeats
I enjoyed the collection of short stories, but it’s largely repeats of other short stories contained in other books.

AWESOME
An amazing collection of shorter stories that add flavour to the Heresy saga and flesh out a lot of the characters.
I would highly recommend!

Skip the first story
80-90% of these short stories are amazing and left me wanting more and more of each character.
HOWEVER, the first story’s narration is horrendous. I have understand and empathise with getting an East Asian narrator for Asian characters, but the narrators accent makes the narration grating and unaudible at times. I had to skip after really trying my best to engage with the story and allowing it to play out over an hour or two.

Bjorn broke my heart.
The saga is told, the pack avenged and the pain of a lifetime of hunting for vengeance is expunged. I mourned for his brothers of the pack, and rejoiced as he wreaked his vengeance on the creature.
Just one story in this book of many such stories. The perfidy of Horus and his corruptors is laid bare, and those victims left to exact vengeance stalk the void.

A book of short stories....
....or should that be, another book of short stories. Positives first, performance was top notch and all the stories were well read. Now the negatives, only a couple of these stories actually grabbed me, the first one was by far the least interesting and also the longest. For some reason one of the Space Wolves super short stories is on my version twice. One for completests only me thinks.

Titles are already on sale....Still amazing.
Alot (if not all) of these titles are already on sale. However, they are great stories. butchers nails, really gets Angrons voice. ( played by Jonathan Keeble) I'd pay the credits just for that short story alone. All the shorts really add to the 30k setting. Here's me, replaying some of these stories on Halloween night, whilst it's raining outside. Brilliant! Black library at it's best.
Well worth the credits. Get stuck in !

Wanted to give 5 but has to 4 stars
A great selection of stories, as always. I have to give it 4 stars however due to the first story narration which isn’t good. It was hard to follow and in some place understand, with me having to turn the volume up as the narration went low and monotone.
The rest of the stories past this were amazing.
I would recommend finding and reading the first story because it is still a good one but skip listening to the narration.

Each story stands out and each of the different stories have a different voice actor
I really enjoyed this book as it isn't one story, it's a collection of stories and they all have a.. we'll I was going to say nice but nice isn't the right word, they have good endings that sum up a lot of what is going on but still leaving it open to what could happen next. I really enjoyed this audio book but I would super highly recommend listening to the previous books as you'll be more in the know of what exactly is happening, still worth a listen on its own!
