Good Overview on the Basics
This guide is a great starting point for anyone who suspects a loved one is dealing with dementia. I live that the author goes over the symptoms of natural ageing versus dementia...for someone who has never dealt with an ageing loved one the two could be easily confused. I also like the chapter on Advance Care Planning, that is a extremely important part to figure out before your loved one is too far gone to give any input. I would suggest this guide to anyone dealing with this medical issue.

She also goes over all the different foods that can help delay it. She even goes over a self-care for the caregiver and advance care planning.

The author goal was to made people aware of old age aging a natural life cycle and dementia delusion, impulsion, anxiety. The author explains the different stages and their length and what to expect as well as different types of food such as fish, nuts, avocado and olive oil needed for greater cognitive function. So Important
Dementia is such an awful disease, which is why this book is important. It's so helpful to know the difference between old age forgetfulness and dementia because if dementia is caught in its early stages, its progression may be able to be treated/slowed. My fiance's father has dementia and at only 66 years old, he can no longer speak and does not remember his wife or children. This book covers important topics such as the signs and symptoms of dementia, ways to prevent memory loss, and tips for caregivers. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone looking to gain a better understanding of this important issue.

Really helpful guide
What a great book! The author did a fantastic job explaining dementia. Since my mother, brother, and I share a home. My mother has dementia, which makes it more difficult to care for her and understand her, but I now feel like I can do both of those things better after listening to this amazing guide. We appreciate the author's wonderful efforts. Plus, the narrator's voice was soothing; his voice makes this audiobook peaceful.

What is normal forgetfulness?
Don’t we all ask that question? Well, I found this book very helpful in understanding the difference between normal forgetfulness and the start of dementia. The 7 Stages of Dementia in Chapter 4 is such an excellent resource. I also think that it was great that the author included a chapter on the caregiver and how important it is for that person to take care of themself. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book for anyone who really wants an understanding of what the start of dementia looks like. I wish I had this book when my mom was starting to show signs of forgetting things and repeating herself.

Really informative!
Caring for a loved one with dementia is a task that requires good physical and mental fitness. Having taken care of his mother and having accompanied her until the very end, the author explains the 7 stages of the evolution of the disease. However, there is no possible cure, but its development can be delayed with a healthy lifestyle. Certain foods support the maintenance of a healthy brain, such as omega 3s, leafy vegetables, olive oil and avocados. The deterioration of symptoms can also be delayed by the practice of playful physical and mental activities. You will learn a lot about the needs of a person with dementia, such as the need for calm and a daily routine.
I recommend it.

Dealing With Dementia
I think most of us have had someone in our life that we love suffer from dementia, I know with me, it was my mom. Dementia takes away the life force of a person and in some cases, they cease to recognize you at all, even though they've known you their entire life. This book looks at the differences between common forgetfulness and dementia and helps you to help your loved one, either way. The book is very personal to the author's heart and the narration is excellent.
