Summary
Okay, so my bad for assuming the guy I was going on a date with wasn't married.
And my bad for taking him to a friend's house for dinner, only to find out my friend is also friends with his wife. Because, in fact, he is married. And she happens to be at my friend's house because her husband was "busy working."
Confused? So am I.
Unsurprisingly, my date's wife is super angry about finding out that her husband is a cheating asshole. Girl, I get it.
Then to make matters more convoluted, there is the man sitting next to my date's wife. A man named King, who is apparently her brother, and who lives up to his name.
Since my date is a two-timing prick, I'm not going to feel bad about drooling over King, especially since I'll never see him again. Or at least I don't plan to.
I plan to take an Uber to the cheater's apartment to get my car keys. I plan for it to be quick.
If I had to list a thousand possible outcomes… witnessing my date's murder, being kidnapped by his killer, then being forced to marry the super attractive but clearly deranged crime lord would not have been on my bingo card.
But alas, here I am.

Loved this. King is extra possessive in the most hilarious and dangerous way. Savanna is just gorgeous. King & Nero are my book daddies forever & it was a cherry on top having Payton & Nero pop in. S.J Tilly thank you. Narrators were just superb

incredible performance

Great book!
Loved this book, besides the curvy heroine which was described very nicely throughout the book, the characters, the humor and the narrations were perfect!

Ridiculous story, but highly entertaining. I laughed out loud a few times, especially over the friendship between Nero and King. Great performance by both narrators

Good
This is the second book in the Alliance series. and I did enjoy how it tied in with the first. I also enjoyed the author's decision to have a plus size woman again as one of the main characters. To helps us all understand and see that beauty and talent come in different shapes and sizes. I enjoyed listening to the level of devotion along with love, care and tenderness someone like King as well as Nero in the first book are capable of towards those dear to them. Nowadays this, regretfully appears to be a trait not so frequently encountered. Overall did enjoy this book and will proceed to complete listening to the rest of the books in the series.

Good banter, fairly good story
The actors voices were great on this. The characters were engaging and the overall story good. The language was flowery "volcanic rage" just because someone looks at your woman. But I guess over the top writing tends to be the style in this genre unfortunately.

Love the series
S J Tilly writes great dark mafia romance.. I loved Nero and I love King.. Just downloaded Dom and I’m happy the narrators haven’t changed.. Both Jack Calihan and Chloe Ryan bring the characters to life.. the inflections and emotions they add are beautiful and bring the characters to life.. 🥰🥰
