About this listen

Craig Johnson's Walt Longmire mysteries are critically acclaimed. Longmire's third outing takes him from Wyoming to Philadelphia to investigate a brutal assault on his daughter, Cady. Walt believes her ex-boyfriend is behind the crime and searches him out. But when he turns up dead, Walt is back to square one.

This series is just keeps getting better

Yet another strong story from Craig. It is a little slow at certain points, but that I believe is the style of the author. The Introspective and deep thoughts of the Sherif alongside quite a lot of action. There’s a few harrowing moments when you hear about the damage done to Katie and you are nervously hoping for the best the rest of the book. I know you will probably know if you like the style of Craig, I do and I thought it was a terrific listen, and as usual George does a great job in their reading the story.

The characters are growing on me

Good story well read, a bit reminiscent of Marshall McCloud, will certainly buy another in the series.

Great book; lovely reading. But the technical side isn’t so good

The chapters as announced in the book by the narrator don’t match to the chapters the recording is divided into, so if I want to listen to chapter 4 of the book it’s partway thorough another chapter. This really confused me and I got lost going to what was marked as “chapter 4” which is actually partway through a later chapter. This makes the user interface pretty difficult to navigate.

In terms of the content, the story is compelling and the performance engaging.
