Killer book
I enjoyed this book. This is book three in the series and can be read or listened to as a standalone book, however it does continue on from the previous book, so relationships and characters have already been established. This is a fun mystery with plenty of suspects and even whether it was the right victim, so there is a lot going on. Including helping out at an animal shelter. The main character is like able and tenacious enough to keep investigating even with the policeman in charge and her boyfriend telling her to stay out of it, But I especially liked the nosey neighbour and thought he was a fun character to have around. A good series and one I am happy to visit again.
Adina thought she had moved into a safe neighbourhood, especially sharing with two other females. But the street is any thing but quite, even with the retired cop always on his porch watching. First a neighbour is big over the head and left unconscious and then a stalker is seen lurking around. It's only When the same victim is found dead in a car park garage and an announcement at work confirming that he died suddenly, yes murder is normally sudden, that Adina gets involved and is once again questioning her co workers. Did the stalker come back and finish the job? Or is there a lot more going on than jealously?
With her boyfriend out of town she will have to get help from a nosey neighbour and some playful pups if she wants to help the police get to the bottom of the murder.
I did like the narrator but the editing could have done with some work, as it sounded very tinny.

Sleuthing
I enjoyed listening to Melissa Haley .
For a book with fun and humour ,we also have blackmail, womanizing, domestic violence,
When some one is murder and they were a colleague Adina knows them , Adina has to look into it as one of her roommates is the the dead colleagues roommate !!! . The lead investigator isn’t very happy because Adina is meddling in the investigation.

An enjoyable series
I'm enjoying this series. The book is short but there are plenty of twists and turns. Jonathan and Adina's relationship is developing in a slow burn manner. I like the side characters and the cute dogs.
The narration can be a little odd with noises in the background and long pauses between sentences but apart from that it was fine.

Good mystery. Odd narration
This is a good mystery, Adina investigates when her neighbour and work colleague is murdered. Part of a series but it works fine as a standalone. The story is fairly standard but has some great touches, I love the dogs. The narration is quite odd, Melissa pauses in the middle of sentences for no reason and there are background noises in some sections. Overall this is a good read. I received a complimentary copy from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review

Another adventure into Washington
I just love this series with as well as murder there is insight into the Washington scene plus rescue dogs what is there not to love. oh yes, it is nice and short.
I suppose this could be listened to as a standalone but the fun is watching the relationships develop.
I was given a free copy by the author but the review is all my own.
