A historical fiction novelist well worth exploring

Karen talks about her last published novel as well as her next due to be published early autumn.

I’ve enjoyed her books since she started writing and am re reading them now as audible versions.

She has the knack of bringing the early medieval period alive and making the dark ages feel just that. Gritty, mysterious, harsh works, I’ve yet to be disappointed by any.

In this production , karen gives insight as to how she researches the period and brings physical location alive by visiting at all times of year in all weather.

Then we as reader and listener obviously get the benefit of being able to image how it could well have been to live back then.

This short interview is insightful and well worth a listen. Read all of her novels though of course too!
