Summary
Jude
I faked my way long enough by keeping my mouth shut, painting a fake smile on my face, and focusing hard on my job. I quit going out to find that random piece of ass. Not one of them would stand up to her, anyway. She hates me, loathes me even. Little does Vivian Shepard know I’ve got more tricks up my sleeve than she will ever begin to imagine to get her to change her mind, to get my chance. I’m not giving up. I want her, and by God, I’ll fight as dirty as I can get to have her. No matter what!
Vivian
Of course, I knew it was a one-night stand. It’s was the perfect night before all hell broke loose, to be quite honest. Drinking, talking, and flirting. One I relished in as I tried to gravitate my mind back to solid ground after soaring so high I could feel the rush of flying. My stomach dipped, my heart fluttered, and my toes curled inward, and then I splattered to the hard surface of the ground. Jude Westbrooke opened his big fat mouth. He ruined it, ruined me, ruined it all.

Sexual Chemistry, Stalkers and a Whole Lot More!
While each story in this trilogy is standalone, I found that listening to the books in order was worth the effort. The trilogy is about three friends. Each story picks up where the other ends, focusing on different main characters each time.
The Saints family and friend circle is expanding with Jude and Vivienne's story. From the first book we know that the two had a one night stand that was incredible but ended badly. The first book ends with Vivienne injured and in hospital. The two characters don't appear comfortable with each other and the possibility of friendship seems highly improbable.
In this book we understand that Vivienne and Jude were more deeply affected by each other and their shared experience. Vivienne wants to avoid Jude and Jude want to deepen the connection between them. Their interactions are always filled with sexual angst with a healthy dose of oooo la la! Then Jude's stalker forces them to bridge the gap between them so they can protect each other.
I love the emphasis on family and friendship in this series. The characters in this series have each other's back. There is a sweetness to the plot that is offset with just enough darkness to keep the reader listening.
Kelley Hazen gives a thoroughly enjoyable performance, as usual!
