About this listen

In this incredible sequel to Pandora's Star, the Commonwealth Saga goes out with a bang. Judas Unchained is a stunning, expansive space opera from one of the world's bestselling science fiction writers, Peter F. Hamilton.

Our worlds are under invasion – and only the impossible can save us now . . .

Over hundreds of years, the human race has been manipulated into starting a war. And it's one that could destroy our entire civilization. Chief Investigator Paula Myo is nominated to hunt the creature behind this ploy, while our invasion continues and multiple worlds fall to the enemy. In response, Admiral Kime commands humanity's defense, marshaling war-ready super-weapons. Yet he discovers his adversaries wield equally powerful armaments.

The question is – where did these come from? Has the Commonwealth's top-secret defense project been compromised, or is the truth even worse than we can imagine?

The Commonwealth Saga duology starts with Pandora's Star.

Great story. Bad sound quality.

This is a great book. Just like the one the preceded it If not better. I like this narrator and would continue to listen to these books through him. **Just be warned that the quality of this recording is terrible. Not what I expect from audible. It’s very soft so you have to make it very loud. It also sounds like there was quiet a lot of post editing. Narration volume changes. Sometimes even sounding like a different person or the narrator having a bad cold.

this its one heck of an epic

author does well to alternate between strategic and deep. wide ranging story and plot descriptions mixed with following lots of individuals.

I only really understood who everyone was halfway through the second book, the cast is a bit too large to keep track of without a diagram to be honest.

this is a great story, not an easy read but when you can focus on it the story is compelling. good for when you don't want to spend a credit next month because this is a 2 month listen

Excellent Conclusion

Picks up from Pandora’s Star and relentlessly drives to the finish. This was my second read through and I picked up more of the hidden plot this time. A well written and tightly plotted story.

Brilliant

A brilliant branched story line continuing from the previous title in the series. It all comes together in a very satisfying ending.

As always........

Guess difficult to write a suitable ending but as with all of his books, the endings go out with a whimper and you are left thinking , oh come on, explode. But this is third book I have read and the endings disappoint but guess the story up until then is good.

Couldn't get enough

Fantastic second half to the story. The book is not a sequal, rather a continuation of the first book, so you definitely need to read the first one. I'm going to miss all of the characters and would love to see it made into a film one day. I have that sad feeling when you finish something amazing. Going to have to try some of Hamilton's other series now to try and avoid my withdrawal!

Only criticism was the performance, sometimes you don't know which character is speaking and occasionally names are mispronounced or pronounced differently to how they've been said the rest of the time which is very distracting.
