it's a really interesting reading

If you could sum up Journeys Out of the Body in three words, what would they be?

intriguing, inspiring, revealing

Who was your favorite character and why?

The narrator, obviously. It's all about his experiences.

Which character – as performed by Kevin Pierce – was your favourite?

As above, the narrator.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

His description of the way out of body experiences began occurring to him, his initial reactions and perceptions etc... It's quite moving and intriguing to hear someone's account of such personal, subjective experiences

Any additional comments?

I think the material in this book is quite relevant to the shift human kind is already experiencing and it poses quite radical contradictions with our widely established idea of reality which is being increasingly questioned from many fronts

A Methodical Approach to a Parallel Dimensions

Very interesting & certainly fascinating. See for yourself, know for yourself. I look forward to the rest in the series.

I can also recommend My Big Toe by Thomas Campbell for those who really want to dig deeper into the topic. He's a physicist, with a dry style & a scientific approach.

A Ground Breaking Publication

Robert Monroe's first book was published at a time when the phenomenon of out of body (OOB) travel, or astral projection, was not widely understood or discussed in western industrialised society. It is worth bearing this in mind because the book deals to some extent with how Monroe strove to reconcile his strange experiences with the prevailing ignorance of the materialist culture in which he was living.

Monroe was by all accounts a down to earth businessman who, with no knowledge of the mystical or "occult", found himself transported into non physical realms by virtue of what he called his "second body". This consciously left his sleeping self at night and explored not only what we term our third dimensional world, but also spiritual, non physical realities which defied rational explanation.

This is by no means a new age text. Monroe writes with a scientific and analytical perspective on his experiences which leaves an impression of someone who took the subject very seriously, and invites even more questions by the time the listener is finished with the story.

My cup of tea

This man is a genius. Loved all the stories although still remain sceptical. The book is very long but if this is right for you, then its well worth it.

First read this 30 years ago, amazing

Robert Monroe was a pioneer in the out of body experience; educated, successful, world-wise, his accounts are fundamental to the subject and I cannot recommend this book enough. It opened my eyes as a 14 yr old and 30 years later still has a profound effect on my belief system. Highly recommended.
