Summary

The double-act of Bertie Wooster and his faithful, omniscient butler Jeeves is the greatest comic pairing in literature. Millions of fans worldwide have laughed at the travails of bumbling Bertie and delighted at the felicitous solutions devised by Jeeves to extricate his master from 'the soup'. In this story Bertie Wooster finds himself on a losing streak and lands himself at the mercy of his aunts, Dahlia and Agatha, and only Jeeves is capable of extricating him from disaster.

awful narration

the story is jeeves & wooster, you know what you're getting. this isn't the best & it's not the worst, it's a fun story set in a country house.

however, the narration is done by a man who has apparently never seen punctuation, nor heard a human speak. overly laconic, blurring sentences together, weird pauses, it's just awful.

Good performance, love the (familiar) Wodehouse story, problem with the reproduction

Jeeves isn’t as sonorous and dignified as I would have liked, but the performance is quite amazing anyhow.

Audible needs to correct the reproduction in the beginning of the island scene, where there are several repeats, as though a needle or tape had got briefly stuck.

A perfectly good story mangled

Almost painful to my ears. Absolutely ruined by whiny. Narrator. Who doesn’t seem. To read the sentences as written. Putting gaps where there should be none, and generally ruining the flow. If you love PGW you will hate this poorly edited, and poorly executed story.
