About this listen
Chris Rose was a young man with most of his life ahead of him. Then came his untimely death. Now he’s trapped: the latest in a long line shepherding the worthy dead to their final resting place. Here in the Intermission, souls await their fate: a trip to an eternity in paradise, or annihilation in the discarded chunks of burning city refuse below.
There seems to be no hope of escape, until Chris discovers a group of scientists designing a portal that could lead him away from this place. Meanwhile trouble stirs nearby, as a family even more powerful than even the city’s guardians seek to use the laboratory’s secrets to their own ends, and their machinations threaten to put an end to everything...

Interesting take! can't wait for next chapter
The world build and character fleshing was superb , the narrator hit it out the park .
excellent use of words to convey scenery/moments.
I enjoyed the struggles and objectives that was the main focus to escaping to another layer in dimension/rift, by means of their own pressed by alexander narcastic tendencies but also in secluded terms of helping his son.
overall giving a strong motive for Chris and Nicolas.
Even after death there was a sense of morality and danger present in this world that helped create a ominous amtosphere.

Intermission review.
I wouldn't normally choose this type of book, but it was given to me as a gift so I decided to try it..
I was hooked into this incredible story straight away.
The author bought each page to life with such skill that you could almost taste and smell the scene.
The book has all the elements of a great book. In my opinion would adapt brilliantly to film too.
I can't wait for book's 2 and 3.
