Summary

New York Times bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken proves that everyone scores to win. But off the field, a fumble can change the entire game.

Pro footballer Miller Quinton would do anything for his best friend and teammate - including "fake dating" his friend's sister. What no one knows is that seven months ago in Vegas, Miller and Kinsey did a whole lot more than just kiss. Miller knows that this cheerleader is off-limits to him and any guy on the team. Still, he can't stop himself.

Kinsey's whole world is on the verge of crumbling. Her dad has cancer. Her overprotective brother is falling apart. Dating Miller may be a fake-out, but he's the one guy who can make her forget about everything - including all the reasons she stayed away from football players. With each heated moment, Miller feels more like a safe place...even though he's not safe at all.

Now temptation is testing every rule in the game of love. But how long can they go on playing when winning is a harder goal than either of them imagined?

loved this emotionally charged, sports rom com!

I loved this book, it had everything from laugh out loud funny moments to heartbreaking tears with everything in between, including super hot forbidden chemistry and sexy, cocky but caring and loyal, very lovable football players.

After having read the previous book in the series, Fraternize, I knew i'd have to read this as my heart had both cracked and fallen for Miller.  He was such a good guy, but broken emotionally and honestly a bit stuck in the past, until Kinsey got under his skin after a secret liaison in Las Vegas.  Her brother Jax would literally kill him if he ever found out, he was the ultimate over protective big brother to Kinsey, but the further we got into the book we discovered just why he cares for her above and beyond.  But Miller can't stay away, even if he should, especially when Jax pushes them together in a fake relationship.  I loved Jax too, Quarterback, captain of the team and needing to be in control of life and everything.  However, Harley comes barreling into his life and throws him for a loop, just when he needed it.  Her Gran was hilarious :-)

This book made me cry and laugh out loud, it was such a good mix of humour, emotion, heartbreak, healing and sexiness.  I listened to the audio version and it was told from Miller, Kinsey and Jax's pov.  All three narrators were excellent.  Miller and Jax especially went through a very emotional journey and both grew so much as characters throughout, but there were times I wanted to hug them all.  Jax's dad was simply wonderful!

Fabulous story, well written with so much depth and feeling, it just flowed and I'm looking forward to reading more from this brilliant author.
