About this listen

New town, new school. Same story. I'm Laura, I've spent most of my life crisscrossing the county yielding to the whims of my transient mother. We've never stayed in one place long enough to call it home, and I don't have any hope of that changing.

I follow the rules; no drawing attention to myself, no friends, and especially, no boys.

But my mom's been keeping secrets - secrets so profound they threaten to turn my world upside down. I've always assumed her paranoia was a symptom of a mental illness, but as her secrets begin to unravel, I realize nothing is what it seems.

As my life careens out of control, a group of guys from school promise to give me answers about who I really am. I'm afraid of what I might learn, but more afraid of what I could be giving up if I don't listen.

Contains mature themes.

Entire "Plot" is communication problems

I'll start by saying that while this book costs a credit, the next three in the series currently are part of the plus program, so you get this book, and you can listen to the rest of the series without using more credits. Which you'll need... since after 9 hours, there's still no plot, character development, or story.

It's pretty much a high school romance with our main girl Laura (not yet 18!) starting a new school, not having any friends, all the girls are mean girls, and there are guys that she feels oddly possessive over, but doesn't dare talk to. Laura doesn't seem to have much in the way of personality except saying 'sorry' for absolutely everything. The "plot" seems to be based completely around communication problems. She doesn't dare to ask the questions she needs to ask because of being afraid of the answers and the guys being afraid to give her info because of her possible reactions. There's no real plot outside of her relationship issues that seem to be based on fear. The guys don't actually have much in the way of personality or back stories yet. The world building would possibly be answered... IF someone would actually ask or answer a question. Maybe in book 2 we'll get some info?

Narration: I like Heather Costa and she does a pretty good job. Sadly, even her narration can't rescue the lack of the plot.

End result: I used a credit on this because the next three are in the Plus section... but I'm not entirely sure I want to waste more hours on this series quite yet.

Good story, great narration

An intriguing story although I'm still not too sure what an Infinity is. Laura is sweet and a little naive. She finds herself in an Infinity group and while I like the guys they really suck at communicating. The narrator is very good. I really felt some of the story because of it.

What a way start a series

This is an interesting plot and I still have no idea where this is going. The mystery is amazing because I’m desperate to know what is happening and why they are linked. Where her mum is and what is going on. I’m so intrigued it’s a great start.

This girl needs a rocket up her behind

The premise of the story is really good, I just kept waiting for it to actually start. The boys say they have answers so she goes with them, they act like morons, she gets angry and storms off.....rinse and repeat.
I got to the end, spoiler, she still has no answers, but keeps hanging with them anyway.....then I realised there's 3 more books.
I'm done!

We’re do I start super annoying.

Ok How do I start the main female character is just plain stupid and anything that goes on she brushes it under the rug like the four men that she supposed to be with.
have lots of women around them and these women are mega bitches they go after the main character and make snide little comments, the men are basically hiding that they are fated to this main female.
And it’s insinuated that this woman is sleeping with one of the men or all …. I just can’t with this story.

so much potential, lacking major execution

The feamle has zero personality ( along with males) and most importantly back bone. If u want a book where female don't say a thing whilst be pushed to the side, feeling like the woman on the side, have zero answers to her questions, lacking any real questions in the first place.... then this book is for you. The story had so much potential but please listen to me, it's not worth 9 hours of your life to get the following... female meets males, they should bond... issues with no real questions or answers arrise.... the end!
