About this listen
A new audio edition of the groundbreaking spiritual treasure, with a foreword by best-selling author Marianne Williamson.
Since its original publication in 1949, P. D. Ouspensky’s In Search of the Miraculous has been hailed as the most valuable and reliable documentation of G. I. Gurdjieff's thoughts and universal view. This historic and influential work is considered by many to be a primer of mystical thought as expressed through the work, a combination of Eastern philosophies that had for centuries been passed on orally from teacher to student. Gurdjieff's goal was to introduce the work to the West, and Ouspensky, an established mathematician, journalist, and already the author of Strange Life of Ivan Osokin, Tertium Organum, and A New Model of the Universe, was the ideal colleague to do it.
Ouspensky describes Gurdjieff's teachings in fascinating and accessible detail, providing what has proven to be a stellar introduction to the universal view of both men. In Search of the Miraculous has inspired great thinkers and writers of ensuing spiritual movements, including Marianne Williamson, the highly acclaimed author of A Return to Love and Illuminata. In a new foreword, Williamson shares the influence of Ouspensky's book and Gurdjieff's teachings on the New Thought movement and her own life, providing a contemporary look at a timeless classic.
In Search of the Miraculous is deftly narrated by Mike Fraser. All visual elements referenced in this audiobook are included in the supplementary PDF.

Excellent book.. Very Interesting.
Excellent book.. Very Interesting. I read the paperback edition of this book maybe 30 years ago. It really struck me that where
was more to life. It was a book that kick started my interest in lost knowledge. Much new research backs up many ideas here. we now know for instance that, "I" does not exist. It is a mental construct used by the left brains interpreter region. That was known thousands of years ago, I wont bore with new knowledge, safe to say that they had understanding we are now only confirming. This book points at some of that. Narration is excellent as well. Ouspensky conveys the ideas better the Gurdijeff himself in my opinion. The PDF is very good. Most audio books don't provide a PDF even when necessary.

We are STILL asleep!!
We are still asleep! This book is a concise insider view of gurdjieff’s ideas and teachings. Ouspenski wrote with great precision and clarity, showcasing Gurdjieff’s methods well. I believe Ouspenski had great integrity and Gurdjieff didn’t he was a trickster as well as brilliant, as such, they parted ways. Gurdjieff was an awake being, and this nature of people, while magnetic, charismatic, hypnotic, and direct , they are often not easy characters. To be awake we need to know and relate to the trickster in us.

Excellent performance
Ouspensky’s master work read with exceptional care and clarity. Even the more mathematical and esoteric elements are made clearer by Fraser’s reading. You get the impression that the reader approaches his trade as a craft. Won’t disappoint!
Hopefully other publishers of Fourth Way literary works will take note.

Breathtaking journey
Great story telling of a objective view of life and unconsciousness I was never aware about. Every read woke parts of me I never thought existed and allowed me to learn about myself . My ministers and the populations of “I” living inside me. Two words comes to my mind = Mind Blowing !
