Hermann Oppermann, 1937 in Hannover geboren und in Braunschweig aufgewachsen, ist ein deutscher Schriftsteller. Nach seinem Studium der Betriebs- und Volkswirtschaft schlug er zunächst eine Managerlaufbahn ein und war viele Jahre als Wirtschaftsmanager für verschiedene internationale Konzerne tätig.
Eine schwere Rückenoperation samt mehrwöchiger Intensivstation beendete 1985 abrupt seine Managerkarriere.
