Well done

I really liked reading this. I’ve listening to Russell Newton narrated on two books so far and I feel like he could do a bit better, but, I’m getting used to him.

The overall book is very helpful and am considering getting the hard copy to archive for future reference.

Great effective ideas & techniques

This book gives you a great examples of a common short conversation where it doesn’t go anyway & then gives a better example on how to broaden your conversation skills to last longer.
Very effective ideas & it helps you automatically imagine your own on the spot to carry through.

Also it discuss the health benefits of socialising with others having strong connections with people & is backed up by research to prove it.

If you are looking for a book to help you build habits through actionable steps, even gradually, to be able to not only improve as a person but also strengthen your social skills I highly recommend listening to this book. What is even better is that it is a quick read, which will allow you to start implementing the suggestions that much quicker.

Great summary on communication skills

It’s a very comprehensive summary of skills to connect with people written in a concise fast paced manner. Some of the tips are basic and more helpful to people that really struggle with communication but I think it’s also a useful summary for everyone else. There’s a lot it covers and in some ways I’d love it if the book was longer with more depth on each point it touches on as it would probably help you internalise those points better. Great narration and the author sounds like a nice guy too!

A ‘basic book’ in my opinion

I would recommend this book to someone with 0 or very little social skills who need to practice the absolute basics. It wouldn’t help with growth for someone who is already somewhat confident but would like to use conversation and charisma as a tool to progress further..
