Summary

When Horrid Henry gets nits and his little brother Peter Perfect doesn't, he makes sure that everyone else gets them too. After that, he can turn his attention to sabotaging the school trip, ruining his parents' dinner party, and terrorizing Peter.

Brilliant, funny, and rather cheeky!

There are 4 stories in the book: Horrid Henry’s Nits, Horrid Henry and the Fangmangler, Horrid Henry’s School Trip, and Horrid Henry and the Dinner Guests.

My 6-year-old son recently got given the Horrid Henry’s Nits book from school to take home and read for a couple of days. I decided to buy him the audiobook as well after he had read the book to help with his comprehension. My son loved this - he initially listened whilst reading the book at the same time, but since then the audiobook has been listened to on repeat even though the physical book has already gone back to school!

The books themselves are full of mischief and are rather funny, and really appeal to my 6-year-old. The narration by Miranda Richardson is great, with different voices and sound effects which add to its appeal. I’m now checking out all of the other Horrid Henry audiobooks in the series - I suspect we will be listening to them all!

Henry's school trip

I liked it when Henry gave nits to everyone including miss Battleaxe and I liked Nora the nit nurse

Not too good

All the Horrid Henry books and audiobooks are encouraging children to be cruel to their parents and siblings. I think this is one of the main reasons why siblings usually squabble over everything.
