About this listen
When you're the president's daughter and the closest thing the country has to a first lady, your life is never really your own. When you're the woman charged to guard the first daughter, and you also happen to be her lover, every moment of every day is filled with challenges - and a mistake could cost you everything.
Unbeknownst to either Blair Powell or Secret Service agent Cameron Roberts, they are at the center of a conspiracy that will rock the world when a net of violence and death draws down upon them and the nation. In a journey that begins on the streets of Paris's Left Bank and culminates in a wild flight for their lives, the president's daughter and those who are sworn to protect her wage a desperate struggle for survival.

Superb.
Oh how I love these Radclyffe books... this one in particular is masterfully written. Gorgeous characters, full of passion and angst. Even though now it is many years after the event, the sense of impending 9/11 tragedy gripped my heart. There was however a comfort with the Honour cast, in the familiar and those characters and their stories waiting in the wings. Just brilliant.

harrowing
the book is brilliant, intrigue, love, daily life, and lifes' fears of cancer and relationships.
But coincidence 🤔 I'm reading this series 20yrs after9/11 didn't know this was a major part of the book beforehand. I'm in UK, English, but I remember where I was, the shock to me, workmates, and family. watching the TV later with 2 of my girls, 11 & 9 in tears all of us. radclyffe writes respectfully of the events with the fears of millions of US citizens. I pay my respects to all the grieving families and the bravery of first responders, R.I.P
