A good start to a new series
A good storyline.Furat one worked out villain, knowing now how Author's mind is working. Although I enjoyed book, just little too much sexual referral for me. Like the more heroic adventure.

Not the same quality as her other books.
Not for me, felt like listening to a smutty book a lot of the time. I prefer The Glass & Steel & Cleopatra Fox stories.

Cool intrigue set in medieval London
The main intrigue is very interesting and the way the red herrings have been placed was really well done. I thought I had it all figured out and then BAM! The steamy bits were a bit much and the constant asides of the characters INTEREST in each other at very inappropriate times was a bit heavy handed. The narrator has a lisp which was quite distracting

Pleasantly surprised by this Audible Plus find - it was a good story with well developed characters, suspense and pace. Would definitely pick up other books by the author

Unanticipated erotica.
I thought I had read the blurb, I really don't recall it being made clear it was Jilly Cooper meets witchcraft. If that's your bag I'm sure you'll love it. First audiobook I haven't seen through to the end so am unable to comment on story, characters or narration. Just a no thanks from me.

A potentially great little mystery spoiled by pointless sex scenes
If I wanted to read about throbbing manhoods then I'd read 50 shades. I gave up when sex scene to chapter ratio approached 1:2 and got in the way of a good plot.
