I’m in love.
The narration is really good: 5 stars
Dallas is brilliant: 5 stars
I have all of the In Death series. They are both funny and gross. I don’t believe a man like ‘R’ even exists, but all together these books are hilarious and entertaining. Well done to JD Robb and Ms Erickson. Well worth the price. Detective novel fans will enjoy getting to know this series. The characters build as the series continues: 5 stars

Entertaining
Interesting plotline, and gave more dept to Eves character, and continued building on some from the previous book.

Narrator is improving,
2022 AUDIBLE REVIEW
I have also started buying the audible books and have listened to the audio book version as well.
The narrator is improving with the overall inflection, or I am getting more used to her narration style, and seems to be improving with separating the characters voices. Roarke has started to actually sound Irish and I can separate the voices of the main characters better.
BOOK REVIEW
A rape, murder serial killer brings bad memories to the fore for Eve.
Peabody really goes through the ringer in this book, she also butts head with McNabb.
I always struggle with bad things happening at a supposed happy time of year but let’s face it, horrible things happen every day.
Eve and Peabody have a bump in their relationship but I feel it is one that needed to happen. Peabody is finding her feet and her strength as Eve’s aide.
Eve says something out of order to Peabody, she means well but is still struggling to express honest open caring emotions. Though she is getting better, very slowly.
Her relationship with Roarke is strengthening and she is learning balance with Summerset.
The actual murder case is sad, as the first three victims were genuinely likeable people, with families, friends and loved ones who will miss them terribly.
The last one was no loss.

Gripping and Haunting
Deffo not for the faint of heart. Set at christmas time this one would not warm the cockles of one's heart but rather chill a reader to the bone in true Robb fashion. If you like edge of seat that stays with you then i highly recommend this one. A word to the wise though - youll never look at santa the same way again!
