good, lacks the historical interest from his first books, but still fun and ludicrous as you would expect

Enjoyable, but not my favourite of his books.
I did enjoy this, but with reservations. The narration was terrific, but I didn't care as much about the characters as I did in his previous books.

Laughed out loud
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I've already recommended this book to a couple of friends. Entertaining in so many ways.
Twists and turns in the story, crazy happenings which you then think could actually happen.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Hitman Anders and the Meaning of It All?
Difficult to pinpoint one moment but the most hilarious was the failed attempt on Hitman Anders life. I was walking my dogs at this point in the story and laughed so loud that I was pleased no one else was around.
What does Peter Kenny bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Somehow he made the original violence of Anders "acceptable" I know that sounds weird but it enabled you to accept how the other two major characters became involved.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
God always has the last laugh.
Any additional comments?
This is the second book of this author I have read and I can't wait for the next and since I can only find one more of his which has been translated, I don't know what I'm going to do then!

Zany roller-coaster read!
Would you listen to Hitman Anders and the Meaning of It All again? Why?
I'm not sure I'd read it again but it was great fun while it lasted. An amusing story, like reading the script of a Marx Brothers' movie!
Who was your favorite character and why?
The three central characters are all good fun but the Hitman himself was very well portrayed by Peter Kenny.
What about Peter Kenny’s performance did you like?
He was the perfect choice for this book. His brisk, no nonsense reading underlined the comic elements and he never overdid anything simply for comic effect.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There are certainly laugh out loud moments in this story.
Any additional comments?
An entertaining way of spending a few hours. I'd be happy to listen to other books by the same author and will certainly look out for Peter Kenny as a reader.

Fab story, brilliantly read.
I love Jonas Jonasson's books. they make me laugh out loud. The reader is understated and excellent.

Loved it!
Really enjoyed this audio book, I have listen to the 100 year old man and enjoyed that too, but in parts (bits in the past) it was a bit too slow. However if you enjoyed the 100 year old man (especially the bits in the present) you will love this book even more. Fast, funny and enjoyable....only downside is it's not long enough! Great narrator also.

No as good as the previous books
This was a relatively enjoyable listen but didn't grab my attention or make me laugh out loud unlike the previous books. It was well narrated on the whole although I found one or two of the voices/accents chosen for characters to be a little grating.
Worth a listen to pass the time without having to concentrate too much but a bit disappointing considering how much I had enjoyed the author's previous works.

Jonas Jonasson is always reliable
Once again Jonas Jonasson is funny and quirky and imaginative. I do think The 100 Year Old Man and The Girl Who Saved The King Of Sweden are better stories, and more gripping, but this was delightful too. And Peter Kenny is absolutely brilliant. Always!

Love love loved it!!
Son pleased I found this book. It has really entertained me and I highly recommend it to anyone! Narration is pleasing to the ear and the story really engaging.
