About this listen
The Bible includes many salient messages that are seldom, if ever, preached, but which are increasingly important for all of us to hear.
Many include important facets of Christian theology and eschatology that need to be kept in mind, for they can seriously affect the way that we live. Messages that concern God’s wrath and man’s eternal future should be preached more often, for they alert us to be more watchful of what we say and do, and help us to act more naturally with honesty, integrity and truthfulness.
In addition, important aspects of Christian life are seldom, if ever, taught, such as how should evil be treated – should it be tolerated or opposed, and how should Christians view the world?
The increasing permissiveness of society and Western culture in general is one of the most prevalent stumbling stones and rocks of offense in the church today, together with its position on evil. But seldom do we hear what the Bible says about these things.
Many churches have departed from the fundamentals of the faith by allowing practices that are in direct opposition to the Word of God, and others show ready signs of doing the same, and it’s not just localized but worldwide in extent.
The fear of God is not being preached or otherwise taught today. It has gone out of style. We hear only of God’s love and compassion. But God is very much to be feared, and fear of Him is what He expects of each of us, Christian and non-Christian alike.
