Summary

I’m here to protect his body, not claim it.

As a bodyguard there is one line I won’t cross: Never sleep with a client. Not even when the client is the first man I ever had a secret crush on. I’ll keep him safe during the media storm that surrounds his coming out. We’ll be together every minute. Constantly. But he’ll never be mine. I will not sleep with a client. And I can’t come out. Silver has always made me want things I can’t have. This time I don’t know how I’m going to resist.

They say rock stars don’t follow the rules. They lie. I’m ready to change everything. But I may have picked a fight I can’t win. Not alone. Enter Bram. The second the bodyguard shows up, I know he can keep me safe from my evil ex-manager. Is it possible he could be more? He’s as hot as sin, and I want him in my bed. Even though starting something with Bram would cross every line. But every rock star knows that rules are made to be broken.

Evil managers, hot bodyguards, and rock and roll tie together His Dark Savior, a bodyguard/rock star romance!

Great Story & Narration🎧 Captivating & Intense!

This is a great rockstar and his bodyguard romance, the story is well written with original and interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. Rockstar Silver “Sam” Stone has had enough with Wesley Cartwright, a power house in the industry who abuses his power and takes advantage of those in the business especially the young talent. He vows to take him down. But such a powerful man has many connections and Stone finds he is in danger and in need of a bodyguard. He turns to the best to get one, a Titan Bodyguard. Abraham “Bram” Jameson is former military and now works for Titan Corporation, his boss, Fargo, is one of his former commanders. Fargo assigns Bram to guard Stone because they are from the same home town in Pella, Illinois where Stone will be going back to for safety purposes. Fargo did not know that Bram had met Stone when he was a boy and he had a crush on him. Bram had changed since then and Stone did not recognize him. Bram and Mack were assigned together to work his security, with Mack more in the background and Bram more hands on. l liked that is was not your typical rockstar romance or even fall for your bodyguard romance, it was so much more. The chemistry between them was undeniable, Bram was conflicted between doing the right thing, not getting involved with a client, it would not only cost him but if he did not do his job right it could cost lives. I liked who everything plays out, the story is well plotted and there is plenty of drama, some angst, twists and turns, mystery, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda, thank you for this great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the terrific narration, Austin Jay brings these characters to life, humanizes them giving each their own distinct voice which makes it easy to follow along and tell who is who. His portrayal of the characters is spot on, he grasps their persona, takes each role and makes it his own. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.

Great bodyguard and client romance

I loved Bram and Sam (Silver). Their relationship was hot from the moment they met. I thought the blurb gave the plot away when he told who was stalking Sam, but there were surprises along the way that kept me involved and entertained. Austin Jay did a superb job of bringing the action and the romance to life.

Good start to the series

This is the start of a new series. Usually, I’m not much for rock star stories but this one caught my eye and I really enjoyed it. Silver (Sam) needs a bodyguard. When he sees the bodyguard assigned to him, Bram, he is attracted but does not remember him. They grew up in the same town but in different circles. Both come from dysfunctional families so home town is something different for each. Bram isn’t looking forward being assigned to guard Silver, the first boy he had a crush on. When they are put together attraction is stronger than anything else. The narration by Austin Jay was great. His voice fit the characters and made the story that much more enjoyable. The bodyguard and the rockstar!

The first chapter reeled me in. Bram is a bodyguard, a very hot one going by what the ladies say. When he is called to guard his first crush, a superstar no less, he is torn. His boss doesn’t take no for an answer. Silver or Sam, has done something unselfish in order to help his fellow artists but that just puts a target on himself. Someone powerful is looking to hurt him and Bram will be there to save the day. Interesting to see their relationship grow in the midst of so much danger. Suspense romance with a happy ending. Loved it! Great narration too.

Enjoyable story

I liked this story from the start. There are a couple of different tropes here, primarily rich boy/poor boy, unrequited love, and bodyguard/rockstar romance. I expected the story to be darker based on the cover, so I was pleasantly surprised by the sweetness. Oh, there is a true, sleazy villain here to be sure, but the instant attraction between Bram and Silver is sweet, and their chemistry is fantastic. There were a few surprises in the story that added to the layers and character development. It's a great start to a new series, and I am looking forward to more. The narration was okay, but there could have been more distinction between some of the voices.

Entertaining Listen

I found the first scene just as humorous in audiobook format as I did when I read the book. 😂😂 This was a fun, engaging, and often surprising story. I enjoyed the pace of the story and the dynamics of the characters. Bram and Silver’s chemistry was undeniable, and I enjoyed their interactions. The narrator did a great job bringing this book to life. It was easy to tell who was talking and what emotions they were experiencing. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to release on audiobook. The sampler chapter set Ajax’s story up perfectly, and I feel like it will be another winner. 🎵 🎤 👨🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻

Not for me

I typically enjoy most of the listens from these combo authors, but this just seemed very overwritten to me.

First off, Silver and Bram were obvious from the start, as was the entire way the story went down. There was no intrigue, no feelings that jumped off the page, nothing new.

I hate hearting about 'hot, warm' things. It's one or the other.

Funny and hot

Sam made me laugh when his mouth wouldn’t stop rambling lol. His hormones went crazy around Bram not that I could blame him.

Fantastic story and I really enjoyed it. Few surprises towards the end that I didn’t see coming but that’s what made things even more interesting.

Narrator was excellent!

His Dark Savior

Funny and engaging. I liked this listen. It follows the star/bodyguard dynamic you'd expect, but it was done well. The narrator did a good job.
