Summary
A standalone novel from the bestselling author of the Hedgehog Hollow and Starfish Cafe series!
Welcome to Bumblebee Barn, home to wonderful animals, stunning views and spectacular sunsets - and resident young farmer, Barney.
While Barney loves his life at Bumblebee Barn - a farm that has been in his family for generations - he's struggling to find someone to share it with. The early mornings quad biking through muddy fields and the long hours looking after the crops and animals are proving to be a deterrent to finding love.
So when his sister, Fizz - desperate for Barney to find his soulmate - sees an advert for Love on the Farm, a new reality TV show to help farmers find love, he has nothing to lose by applying. After all, he isn't meeting anyone suitable down the traditional route and surely he won't be picked anyway...?
Thrown into the chaos of reality TV, Barney could never have expected that his whole life would be turned upside down, with buried secrets to be uncovered and his heart on the line. With his family and friends rooting for him, could the magic of Bumblebee Barn heal his broken heart and help him find love on the farm?

Brilliant and would make a great film
This is superbly acted and a lovely (if predictable) story, not corny at all, with really approachable characters and a very vivid story which transports you to the farm. So wonderful, an amazing bit of escapism.

Lovely characters in great setting
A delightful story stirring up different thoughts and questions. Set in a new but familiar setting means a special connection for avid J R readers but perfect for newbies too. Once read you will want to read all her books (or listen)

Totally predictable but wonderful to listen to
You know what’s going to happen from the first chapter but the journey there is funny, heartwarming and intelligent.

Typical Jessica Redland!!
Loved it. Engaging characters right from the start with a lovely believable story. All over in just a couple of days, the dog is exhausted from long walks while I listened to the excellent performances bringing just the right amount of emotion which brought the characters to life and made them feel like my friends! Love the connection to Hedgehog Hollow and just hope this won’t be my only visit to Bumblebee farm - waiting for the next one!

Just Brilliant!
I was really looking forward to this book as I'm a huge fan of Jessica Redlands books I have read, listened to and love them all.
I loved Bumblebee Barn, Barney is great and its was fabulous to have an update on Hedgehog Hollow and the characters.
The narrator's were excellent, very easy to listen to and they both made me feel like I was there with the characters. I couldn't recommend this book enough!

For seeker’s of heartwarming escapist fare that’s a cut above much in the same genre, this delivers
For listeners who are seeking feel-good fiction, with real heart, romance and that guaranteed happy ending, it can be hard to find books that don’t patronise the reader who seeks out such titles. Too much is overly saccharine, derivative and frequently has a plot that rests on the over-done trope of the characters destined to become a couple confusing a well-intentioned mistake for some kind of betrayal that will eventually be sorted.
I thought I detected such an occurrence coming up for Amber and Barney, but I should have had more faith in Redland.
I’ve been increasingly enjoying her novels. This is undeniably escapist, yet isn’t especially twee. It is a joy to be spared going on a journey where one of the primary characters, have to develop a remarkable lack of emotional intelligence over a misconstrued error.
Redland deftly showcases the cynicism and exploitation rife in a certain type of reality TV show which is an interesting, amusing and enjoyable strand to this thoroughly pleasing book, replete with likeable characters, setting and good narration.
