Am amazing second book 💕
What a follow up to book one. This audiobook could even be classed as better than the first.
Kel Carpenters world building is amazing and her characters are what we all want in leadimg role's.
Piper im my Favourite FMC ive come across in alot of series ive read.
She is strong and fearless and actually stands up for herself while being caring ,which is nice in a FMC.
But Ronan..... well.... i don't think we need to say much about him 🔥🔥
i cannot wait to see the next installment with them both 💕

Everything is to love in this book, from...
The story to the author’s acknowledgment!! Truly this is my favorite series from Kel as to yet.
It has it all! And the “more than love” story between Piper and Ronan just makes me swooonnn !
He is the most thoughtful demon I’ve read about this year!
Kel did a great job at describing the push and pull that exists between them and also love, loyalty, support that one needs to just believe in a better future.
I loved everything in this story and I can’t wait to get my hands on my physical copies get them signed and give a bear hug to Kel 💛💛💛

Amazing
I thoroughly enjoyed this listen and binged it. I just cannot get enough of Kel's writing. The narrators....what a fantastic job they did and I easily slipped into the world of fantasy for a few hours.
Can't wait for the next installment.

A super second part to the series
I was given a copy of this audiobook for an honest review.
I'm really enjoying this series.
I love the way Piper continued to develop in this book, she's a really interesting, complicated character. Nat, Ronan and Lucifer, and the relationships between them all, are great too.
As with book one, there was plenty of action, and the story was really absorbing and entertaining. I enjoyed learning more about the world and how it worked, and having some mysteries from book one uncovered. The plot really progressed here, and things are set up for what looks to be a really interesting book 3.

Piper's story gets better and better
Once again Kel spins a tale leaving you hooked on every word. The story of Piper unfolds, filling the world and lore, leaving me wanting to know more. I cannot wait to find out how Piper's story progresses, and with that cliffhanger you bet I'll be obsessing until I do. The voice acting is once again perfect and immersive, all the actors have done a brilliant job. If you haven't started the series yet then cancel your plans for the weekend and give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

action packed, dark magic and demons!
I am loving this series, the non-stop action carries on from the events in the first book and kept me glued to my headphones!
With the disappearance of Lucifer, a new and darker evil distracts Piper from her quest to save her sister Bree, for which she'll need to draw on all her strength, plus trust demon Ronan and witch Natalie to survive it. Haunted by Shadows continues the slow burn relationship between Ronan and his in denial atma Piper. It was intriguing, dark, bloody and mystical with so many twists and turns.
I loved seeing Piper grow and develop. She's closed off emotionally, snarky, full of anger and determination and has always hated magic, but calm, serene Natalie opens her eyes to her prejudice and we discover a lot more about the witch too. Their banter gives some light relief amongst the angst, drama and suspense unfolding around them.
My main wish following the first book was more of Ronan and my wish came true wahoo! There was a lot more of the delectable, powerful, dominating, dark and dangerous demon which meant of course more from the narrators sexy, deep voice, perfect for Ronan. He is cunning and single minded in his desire for Piper but we see a lot more to him and what he is about as well. As he and Piper grow closer, their chemistry grows more and more fiery and you know it will ignite into flames once Piper gives in to their connection.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, both narrators were excellent and really gave life to all the characters. Can't wait to find out what happens next after that jaw dropping ending!

A brilliant adaptation
This is a brilliant adaptation it hooked me from the very beginning. I could not stop listening to Pipers story. Piper has more enemies' to deal with. Some she did not see coming. Nat has issues with her family and Ronan has the patience of a saint! The adventure and intrigue continue, the sarcasm and heat between the two leads, is brilliant.
Full me once shame on you
Full me twice eat lead.
The choice of narrators is perfect, I am looking forward to book three in May.
