About this listen
He loves him, he loves him not....
Oh who is he kidding, he can't live without him.
Dexter McKenna is the man Matthew Sullivan both loves and hates. He's outgoing and athletic, the kind of guy Matthew's father always wanted him to be. And, he's the last person Matthew wants to see at his sister's wedding.
While undeniably attracted to Dexter, Matthew still resents him for his father's constant comparisons.
When Matthew finds out Dexter is equally interested in him, it forces him to overcome his painful past so he can move forward with his future.

quickie love and loss of other relations
It was a challenge in the lives of both males. The two of them come to learn over time that they had much in common. One had a protective streak that was mile wide. He would do anything for the other. The strong female of this story was a secondary character and should could have taught a few others somethings.
Dexter and Matthew were in a love hate relationship long before one knew what was going on. One uniting event allowed them both to see something more between them.
I advise those that are triggered by bigoted words, language or the such to take caution when reading. I was very angry with the treatment of Matthew and Dexter, but I love a story where the two preserve.
Guy Veryzer was a good narrator at times I felt like Matt was a bit on the child (male) voice. But it grew on me and I went on to enjoy the audio.

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4-5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Loved this Love/Hate story
The Love/Hate relationship between the 2 MC's and the homophobic attitude in their small home town makes this a Great listen.
With Guy Veryzer's narration makes the story flow with ease.

Hate to Love You
This is the first book in the Epic Love series. This a MM enemies to lovers. Matthew grew up with a bigot for a father. He completely just ignored Matthew for most of his life. Dexter was the jock that dated Matthew’s little sister in high school. Later in college Matthew found out that his sister was just Dexter’s fake girlfriend. That Dexter secretly was in the closet and attracted to Matthew. They came together at Matthew’s sister’s wedding. This was a cute short book. Guy Veryzer did a great job narrating this book.

Amazing
For such a short book this one really packs in the information. The characters are really interesting and I found the emotions that they went through trying to heal old hurts very intense.
This is a book that will make you feel all the feels

In no way epic
Reads like the begining of a story, but leaves me with no inclination to see if story continues in book 2. Nothing happens, far from epic.
Just checked book 2 is plus 3 years same couple.
Did not rate the narration but someone else might.

Good storyline
This is a good storyline. It shows that happiness is more important than fake relationships. Being true to yourself and overcoming people’s small mindedness is a lot harder than it seems.

Great story, okay narration
Keeping in mind that I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into the narration of a story, I wasn't a huge fan of this narrator.
The story was really endearing and sweet, I liked the characters and the contemporary plot line. I liked how characters grew and changed over time. I especially liked how the two main characters helped each other be the best and strongest people they could be.
