Informative
Great information with practical ideas and solutions. I liked the mosquito prevention part because of an issue I once had with a water butt. Written in America but relevant elsewhere too.
Good narration and comes with an accompanying PDF.

Great book
I have read a few gardening books that cover this subject but i wanted to delve deeper.
This book does not disappoint. For what can be quite a technical subject, I now feel well equipped to set up a rainwater harvesting system in my garden. It’s easy to follow with detailed guidelines to help you set up whatever system you choose.

Must have!
There is so many benefits to having an indipendent water source. This book definatly covers all you need to know in detail. It also has some extra tips and tricks that can save you time and money. I especially liked that it talks about how to get this done even when on a lower budget.
I found narrators voice comfortable to listen to.

Comprehensive and Practical
This book offers a fully comprehensive guide for gathering rainwater for your homestead. I gained tremendous value with the amount of content offered and had no idea there was so much to the practice of gathering rainwater.
I particularly enjoyed the sections on deciding on end-use goals for rainwater gathering, as I was unaware that it has so many uses. The author educates you with explanations of hard water vs soft water, which I found very interesting as I assumed there was little difference between water types. Now I know!
The book has very useful and practical sections on the cost of rainwater gathering and how to set it up. The author’s guide is highly detailed and leaves no stone unturned, and takes you through every step of the way, right from storage tanks, filtration, and water treatment. There is also important safety information that is very useful, as a newbie like me would forget to consider these factors. Overall, a great read and a practical guide.

Practical and very helpful
Very well narrated and clearly laid out with step by step guides to design and build a rainwater harvesting system that is suitable for everyones specific needs. Although focused on an American audience, the detailed instructions can be used by anyone. This will be my go to guide when I get round to building my own rainwater harvesting system. I like that it gives options and suggestions depending on your needs and the specific needs of your location and climate of where you live. Very useful and recommended. Regards Thashna.

Very Informative
f you want to learn how to harvest rainwater for many benefits then look no further than chapters 2 and 4. Chapter 2 will teach you the basics in 10 easy steps and it's been very well simplified, I would pay attention to the chapters that focus on budget and the legalities of this process as it may be different by area so pay attention if you're going to get serious about this. Plenty of information on materials, tools and tanks required. I think the message in the book is clear: invest and buy the best you can afford for best output as at the end of the day you pay for what you get. I like how it's a woman that narrates for what seems a male dominated hobby. Nice touch ;o)
