Don't gamble just get this great book
I loved this book. This is book three and I am still really enjoying the series. It contains a nice mix of mystery, with a touch of witch craft and a playful pirate ghost, as well as everyday life that combines together to make an entertaining story that works well. The mystery was good and I wasn't sure who the killer was until it was revealed. There was plenty of suspects to keep you guessing and a few that you certainly didn't want it to be. The author makes you care about the characters because they are so well written and not just two dimensional like in some books. The witch parts of the book is very under stated and there is no spell casting or flying on brooms but I actually like it this way as it makes the story and the characters feel believable and like everyday people. The ghost trapped in the book is a lot of fun and very unique with the ghost being a pirate, I am glad he came into this book more. It's just a fun series and I can't wait for more books to be added to the series.
Paige has managed to save enough money to pay for the plumbing to be fix in the book shop she inherited from her Aunt. She soon finds herself having to deal with more than the loud hanging coming from the basement when the plumber finds a skeleton. The skeleton doesn't remain harmless for long because a pair of very distinct shoes are found with the bones. The lady went missing after having a very public argument with Paige's now dead aunt but she also used to own the coffee shop that Paige's best friend and fellow coven member now owns. Paige fearing for her aunt's reputation and also her friends freedom she leaves the book shop in the very capable hands of her assistant to investigate. With her friend a suspect and acting very suspiciously Paige won't be able to rely on her coven for help. Will she still be able to find the killer? And a new place to live?
I like the narrator and think she does a good job of bringing the characters to life.
