About this listen
"I have read no book that more carefully, thoroughly, and tenderly displays Christ's heart." (Paul David Tripp, President, Paul Tripp Ministries; author, New Morning Mercies and My Heart Cries Out)
Christians know what Jesus Christ has done — but who is he? What is his deepest heart for his people, weary and faltering on their journey toward heaven? Jesus said he is "gentle and lowly in heart." This audiobook reflects on these words, opening up a neglected yet central truth about who he is for sinners and sufferers today.

A Must Read
Dane Ortlund's interpretation is brilliant. He talks about the crucial personalities of Jesus that we often overlook. You will see Jesus like never before after the read.

The beautiful cover matches the beautiful words
I loved the metaphors, which helped me to deeper understand the pure love God has for me. I feel a new sense of freedom as a Christian from reading this marvellous book.

Soul food
A devotionally rich unveiling of God's heart in Christ for his people. Heavily reliant on the Puritans, Ortland turns to various Scriptures and delves deeply into the original languages to exposit them for the good of our souls. Beautifully written yet also quite wordy and clunky at parts due to long sentences.

Astonishingly comforting
The best book I’ve read in the last 10 years. Recommended to all in Christ or who wish to be in Christ.
