About this listen
Stocks go up! Stocks go down! The stock market looks as if it's just a big show. But how would you like to be able to know what a stock's really worth—and make money by buying it at a discount?
Learn how to analyze a company's financial reports and business, and you can make great returns by buying stocks below their true value. That's the way Warren Buffett made his $96.3 billion. It's the way Peter Lynch took the Fidelity Magellan fund from zero to hero—making a 29 percent annual return and increasing the value of each $1,000 invested in the fund on day one to $28,000 when he retired.
- Tiffany James started with a single investment in Tesla back in 2019. She built her initial investment into a two million-dollar portfolio and now runs online community Modern Blk Girl.
- Ishfaq Peerally is an investor from Mauritius who is one of the top value investors on eToro. He's turned $10,000 in September 2016 into $83,000 by April 2022!
They've vastly increased their wealth by investing in stocks. And you could join them!
But a lot of beginning investors lose money time after time, because there are 6 basic skills they haven't acquired:
- They don't know how to read a company's financial statements.
- They don't know how to assess a company's value.
- They don't know how to calculate basic ratios to assess the health of the business.
- They don't know how to set a target buy price for a stock.
- They don't know how to check whether the CEO is telling the whole truth.
- They don't have the discipline and patience to do the research, or to wait for the stock to perform.
So even if you’ve never explored a single investment book in your life, this audiobook on its own will give you all the basics that you need to understand to become a successful investor in stocks.
So if you want to know when to buy a company, then you should listen to this audiobook!

Great for getting started
I saw my investments that are managed by a 3rd party making tiny (if any) returns and figured that if I knew what I was doing, I could probably make more money doing it myself. This book was good for helping me get started, because before listening I didn’t have any idea what I was doing. Now I feel equipped to start investing on my own. I’m going to start with a small amount of money and as I get more experience, I’ll start managing more and more of my portfolio on my own.

Good explanations and detailed infirmation
Liked the explanations and knowledge. liked the narrator too. some finance books are full of impossible promises about becoming a multi-millionaire if you follow their system. I liked that we didn't have any of that in this book.

Great investment book for beginners and experts.
This book is a well written book on the fundamentals of investing in a complex and difficult market by using basic math and accounting practices to get an accurate view on each company before investing in them. I wish I had read this before making some of the investments I had made last year and I'd probably be in a much better position. whether you are a beginner or expert in investing in stocks, the fundamentals don't lie, you need to know about the financial health of the company your are inviting in before you invest!

Learn to make educated decisions about stocks.
A.Z. Penn has provided an easy-to-understand audiobook for people who don't have a financial background, like me. In addition, Penn takes the time to explain all the technical references, includes many examples, goes through the math, and offers several bonuses of great value. So make sure you sign up for them. Because I got the audiobook, I was so grateful that the author was very clever to include the written manuscript of the book for visual learners like myself.
Investing is a good idea as stocks rise. But I am financially conservative because I know that stocks go down, and I don't want to lose the money I have worked so hard to accumulate. Penn, however, shows you, through fundamental analysis, how much a stock is worth and how to use that information to your advantage by purchasing shares at a discount. He outlines a path to financial success, employing fundamental analysis to select the best stocks. It must be good. It is the approach Warren Buffet uses!
Newbie investors like me often fail miserably because they lack the skills and discipline to do the research and the patience to wait for the stock to perform. But now that I have read about fundamental analysis and signed up for his free bonus masterclass, I am learning to make informed investment decisions. I am learning how to read financial statements, figure out how much a company is worth, use basic ratios to figure out how a business is doing, set a buy price, and check if the CEO is telling the whole truth.
I plan to read this book again, listen to the audio again, and to take advantage of the very generous free bonuses to deepen my understanding. I am already feeling more confident that I will not lose everything but that I have a lot to gain because I now have a way to educate myself so that I understand and use the stock market smartly.

Utterly Enlightening!
This book has shown me clearly that I knew nothing at all about investing and the value of the stock market. I was thinking of doing some investments and my friend gifted me this audiobook and changed my entire mindset and knowledge. This is rich and valuable content for both beginners like me and others who may have a bit of knowledge in the tank. This will be my "Stock/investing Bible" from now on as I seek to wet my feet in the lucrative world of stocks and investing. Kudos to the author for this well-researched and well written guide. It will go a long way for lots of people.

Engaging
I am altogether new to the concept of fundamental analysis and interpreting financial statements. This book simplified and explained this subject's nitty-gritty details using layman's terms. Highly recommended.

Extremely comprehensive
Great book for a novice investor. Covers a broad range of concepts very well in an easy to follow manner. The quizzes are a great way to touch base on understanding basic principles. Good level of detail but still presented in an engaging manner. You don’t need a financial background to get the most out of it. Not easy to make this complex topic easy to understand and still keep the reader interested but the author does this extremely well. A good sense of humour also keeps it interesting as you progress. Highly recommended. Five stars from me.
