About this listen

The ebook bestseller is back with her next riotously funny story!

Katy Peacock lives a life as colourful as her name.

As a wedding photographer, she spends her days making other people smile as she captures all sorts of fun and capers at celebrations that range from the wacky to the wild.

But her own life isn’t looking quite so rosy. Her mum is acting out of character, her menacing ex is back on the scene, and she is torn between two gorgeous men. And that’s before we even get started on the trouble her sister is causing . . .

As Katy weathers the ups and downs of the season, she revisits problems from the past, discovers new friendships and finds that four weddings and a fiasco have the power to change her world beyond measure.

A funny, feel-good read, perfect for fans of Lucy Diamond and Jenny Colgan.

Well written and well read

It took me a while to get into this book but I'm glad I did as I enjoyed it very much.

Narrator lacked conviction

I enjoyed this book for the story but it was spoilt, for me, by the rather lacklustre performance of the narrator. It was delivered at times in an almost monotone which seemed to lack any kind of inflection or enthusiasm.
This was, however, only limited to the main character telling the story. The other characters were brought to life with more enthusiasm. As such, I found it hard to identify with the main character, which is a shame as the storyline was fine. The delivery made the main character sound very flat, boring and two dimensional and I found it really hard to care about her.

Dreary

So dreary. Can’t work out if it’s just the reader, or the story too. The pedestrian narration drains all the life out of it. I’d love to hear it read by someone like Charlotte Church so I could give an unbiased review of the story
