A fun listen
Another fun listen and good performance by Madeleine Brolly.
The story, as a mystery, was fairly predicable, but the historical touches were good. Always interesting to hear what women’s’ lives were like in Medieval Britain. Ela of Salisbury was certainly a formidable woman.
I hope there will be more audiobooks in this series. I’ve enjoyed them.

Beautifully narrated
Fabulous story and beautiful narration. You can really hear Ella Longspay speaking, organising and taking her role as Sheriff very seriously. Well done J. G. Lewis, I'm slowly getting through all your books and well done Audible for recognising that they should be on Audible for everyone to hear and enjoy. I love them ❤️ Sharon S

Great story
I love these historical stories, Ela is a real breath if fresh air and must have had such strength to live as she did in this’d times.
