Summary
It should have been a simple job. All archaeology student Jane Barnaby had to do was pick up a box her professor needed and deliver it to him at his dig site, along with his new car. Yes, his office was in Oxfordshire, and his dig site was in Spain, a trip of 1,400 miles across three countries and two bodies of water. Still, it should have been simple.
And it was, until Jane discovered she picked up the wrong box by mistake. Not the one with boring pottery samples, but instead the one with priceless ancient Egyptian artifacts. The one that a team of international art thieves is after.
Now she's chasing - and being chased by - the thieves. And she's picked up a pair of passengers who claim they can help her outwit them, get her professor's pottery back and return the artifacts to their rightful owner. If only she could figure out which one of them is working with the thieves and which one she can trust in this high-stakes game of finders keepers.

Finders Keepers
An obnoxious college student is tasked with delivering a box of pottery shards and a new car to her professor.Boxes are switched and hijinks ensue.Sadly I didn't care at all for the heroine or her cohorts. and found the story not to my liking.I was gifted this book free by the author, narrator or publisher.

Great read. Lots of action.
What made the experience of listening to Finders Keepers the most enjoyable?
I loved the characters in this book. Jane, Tom and Alex all come from different backgrounds and different countries and this comes through quite well in their dealings with one another. I loved Jane's thoughts on the English weather and I loved Tom's hilarious thoughts and musings about American girls and Irish men. He is quite a grumpy character in a funny and adorable way. I wasn't too fond of Alex but I really loved Tom's character and I hope he plays a major role in future Jane adventures.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Finders Keepers?
I thought that it was an interesting twist for the story to be set in the 90's. Modern conveniences such as mobile phones, texts and email would have made this adventure a lot shorter and less entertaining.
What about Cait Frizzell’s performance did you like?
I loved how Cait was able to express Jane's homesickness in her tone of voice as she narrated Jane's letter's home to her father. It was in complete contrast to the high spirited Jane in adventure mode as she sets off across Europe in her professor's new car.
I loved how Cait was convincingly able to perform different accents- American, English and Irish in a very convincing way. I was highly impressed by this.

Well I enjoyed this
Any additional comments?
I like this, lots of fun. Honestly, I didn't think I would. I prefer full-cast audio dramas rather than the spoken word and the book was given to me to try. Very glad I listened, it was fresh, lively, funny and the heroine was absolutely great. I found the plot believable and as someone who actually lives in Oxford (where it is parly set) it was well researched. I would definitely recommend and can imagine re-listening.

Fast-paced road 'movie'
This was a very entertaining book. OK, so there were a couple of things that sounded a little awkward: an adviser (a professor of archaeology) intent on being a matchmaker for one of his very young, female students. And that same adviser asking same student to bring his brand new Landrover from Oxfordshire to Mallorca. I mean, seriously? An inexperienced driver, driving first on the 'wrong' side of the road, then, on the continent, driving on the right side, but with the steering wheel on the left -- that's a challenge even for drivers who are used to drive on that side of the car. Plus, we all know the Americans drive mainly automatic cars, and this one had gears to shift.
That aside, this was a very enjoyable book, playing with all cliches and prejudices you can think of ,of all nations involved -- and there are a lot of those: England, France, Spain, America, Germany, Ireland.... and it doesn't end there. Gender, age, -- you name it-- you'll find it here.
I could imagine that if you're easily offended this book might not be for you. I found it hilarious, after all, all these cliches are well known, and are portrayed in the funniest way. If I had thought for a moment that the author actually holds all these prejudices, I'd probably have turned away in disgust, but I couldn't detect any of that.
The book starts out fairly slowly, but once things get moving, it is very fast paced until the very end.
The narrator did a fabulous job with all the different accents, kudos for that. It was an enjoyable, light and fast listen, exactly right for forgetting everything around me for a while.
I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audio book by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Such fun
The narrator was the perfect choice for this book, excellent. It was a really fun listen with laugh out loud moments. I loved all the characters especially Jane Barnaby, she's not really sure who or what she is but she can certainly pack a punch. Good story, I'm sure we'll be watching it at the flicks soon enough!

A fantastic work of audio art
This book is a mystery wrapped in an adventure chase across France and Spain, and I loved it. Never quite sure who you should trust as a baddie, it keeps you on tenterhooks throughout every twist and turn of the story, until all is revealed at the end. Although my first attempt to describe it sounded like a bad joke setup (there's an Englishman, an Irishman, and a crazy American...), this is a great book, and I'd definitely recommend it!
I've also listened to the audiobook of the story and Cait Frizzell does an excellent job as narrator, really bringing the characters and action to life. I love the way she lulls you into a false calm between the storm of each encounter with the baddies along the way, whilst maintaining the slight undercurrent of nervous tension - the perfect combination. A fantastic work of audio art.
NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions
