Editor reviews
Children of all ages will enjoy the wide range of poems, authors, and narrators in this spirited collection. There are many works by Edward Lear, including one about himself, which is somewhat negative but quite funny. Accents vary, even Cockney appears occasionally, as in "Framed in a First Story Window." The firemen yell, "Jump into this net what we are holding." "The Pied Piper of Hamlin" is an ideal conclusion, with the performer's vigorous voice. Music is used occasionally, with a rousing march at the close.

Great Collection
I really enjoyed this audio book. The variety of poems were well read. The narrators used a wonderful selection of character accents which I think would appeal to many children.
It would also appeal to those studying children’s poetry as an introduction to lyric of the poems. Before in depth study is undertaken.
Tip: I listened to audio versions of famous playwrights, poetry and historical novels before studying them at university.
I chose to listen to this audiobook to remind me of the poems I loved and read as a child many years ago. I really enjoyed this audiobook.

Poetry Revisited
When you are young you hear poems without understanding half the vocabulary. It is quite funny and pleasant to listen again as an adult.
Narration - varies, and some (especially the rather exaggerated cockneys) were not to my taste.
