Summary
In the player-versus-player MMORPG, Fantasy Realms Online, people live out the fantasies they can't in real life, no matter how bloody or sexy they might be, and Kromgorn the Barbarian is no exception. He and his guildies make constant warfare against their rivals in the Secret Order, a guild led by the dark Lich-Lord, who's also rumored to be a crazy hacker in real life, and they make fun of players who just use the game for stupid things like getting laid.
But when the Lich-Lord releases a powerful spell that traps most of the players in the game permanently, Kromgorn accidentally winds up stuck in the avatar of his friend, Lacey - a stupid, low-level female character that was designed exclusively to get down and dirty with the in-game pleasure system. Even worse, he gets captured by the orcs and thrown into their harem dungeon, where he finds he's powerless to resist his captors! The developers really modeled female bodies correctly in this game, and it's humiliating to have to go from being a high-level barbarian to a simpering little harem girl.
With his guild drawing closer to an epic encounter with the Lich-Lord, they need all the high-level players they can get! Will Krom figure out a way to get himself out of this useless body and get back in time to help his friends, or will he be stuck forever working on his back in a dirty harem dungeon? The only way out of this mess might be to give in to his situation and embrace his new body in order to outmaneuver his foes.
Who knows? He might even end up enjoying himself....
With hours of humorous, gender-swapped fantasy action and some very steamy scenes, this audiobook is intended for mature audiences who enjoy FF and MF encounters with lots of gender-bending fun.

Strange But Intriguing!
So, a very strange set of books, this being the 1st in the series. The story is ultimately a Comedy-LitRPG, which is most definitely for an adult audience, due to the many sexual encounters by the main protagonist.
If you are at all squeamish about male to female body swap, then most definitely steer clear of these short novels.
The story is basically your standard LitRPG scenario, with the added bonus of the main character being stuck in someone else's toon, that just happens to be for all intents and purposes, a female whore class.
The writing is ok, the story is ok, the narrating is... a bit hit and miss, when it comes to dialogue, the vocals are ok, not great, but ok, but the main body of the story sounds like someone reading through something at school, standing up at the front of the class, trying to get through the ordeal as quickly as possible. I don't know why but JJ Jenness doesn't seem to be firing on all cylinders on this one, sorry dude.
Overall, for me(I love LitRPG) the story is just about good enough to overlook the so, so narration, but someone that isn't really into the genre, it might be a bridge too far.

Far better than I'd expected.

Ok, let's deal with the elephant in the room first. Yes, this is a sexually explicit LitRPG.
As a rule, while I love LitRPGs, I don't like harem/sexually explicit types but, having chosen to try this one, I will review based on the book itself and not my own personal opinions of this type of novel.
Story-wise, it's pretty simply and tight with a character trapped in the virtual body of a female courtesan after years as a half-giant barbarian and basically having to learn their new abilities and seek a way to reverse what's happened.
Comedy is there and is usually cheeky, almost Carry On style and there are several sex-scenes but, while explicit, it doesn't feel dirty or over the top which is impressive.
Narration throughout was really good with amusing squeaky girl moments and I particularly liked the voice for the big-bad.
While my heart says I should dislike the book I honestly can't say I do. The humour was good, the story lacks unnecessary padding and it manages to fit loads of sex without feeling smutty and as such I will be trying the sequel also to see how our mister-miss proceeds.
