About this listen
Story takes place in the Omegaverse. Book One in the Hobson Hills Omegas series.
Carter Benson is a lonely, scarred mess of an alpha. Honorably discharged from the army after being injured, he is left with very little that really matters. All he has is a trust fund he refuses to touch, burns on his face, and a brand new prosthesis. He doesn't have his family, he isn't near his friends, and his face makes small children cry. So he goes to Maine, finds a tiny town, and starts a business as a plumber. It doesn't help his loneliness, though. Until a little girl hunts him down and forces him to be her new best friend.
Elijah Wilson has lived in Hobson Hills his whole life. So what that most of the townspeople think he's a whore because he's a single omega and got pregnant at 18? So what if they think he takes advantage of his grandparents by living on their property? Elijah and his large extended family know better. They know that he hasn't dated anyone since before Olive was born. They know he works hard in the family business and is great with investments.
They know the truth, but it can be hard living in a town that doesn't care about the truth. It can also be really lonely. Until his daughter makes a new best friend. When the two men meet, sparks fly. Their lives change for the better, but life isn't always easy. Narrow-minded townspeople and greedy parents can cause a lot of trouble. But there's always hope. There's always love.
Author's Note: This is a m/m, non-shifter, mpreg love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There are a few potty mouths, so beware. Eighteen+ listeners only, please.

Instant attraction, very sweet
Instant attraction, very sweet
Carter Benson and Elijah Wilson, new neighbours in a small town, they both lacked romance but were happy with their lives. Carter is a beaten up veteran, and Elijah a single dad Omega. The strangest couple on paper, but both fell in Insta-Love, and the book is an easy read, sweet but with a good story running alongside.
Lots of family members to make you laugh, and friends that I am sure will have their own stories in this series. I will def read the others in this series.
A good solid narration from Phillip Fairbanks. As usual, I sped up to 1.30 on audible.

Easy
I liked the story and the characters but I felt the narrator was wrong for this particular book.

Such a sweet story
A great start to a series. Carter has just moved and is greeted by a lovely young girl who wants to be his best friend. Instead he falls for her father and a new life for all is started, can't wait to continue the series

Sweet story - great narration
The story follows the established Omergaverse rules. Not a lot of angst as is the norm for these types of stories. Philip Fairbanks did the narration, he is definitely one to watch. I'll be looking for more of his work.

Quirky and Sweet.
MM Alpha Omega Mpreg romance, The first book in the Hobson Hills series. Elijah and Carter's story is fun, sweet with some angst but a guaranteed HEA. Thoroughly enjoyed throughout, fantastic narration by Philip Fairbanks.

Enjoyable small town romance
This is my first C.W. Gray story and I really enjoyed the plot and the characters. It was easy to fall into the story and follow along as Carter and Elijah fall in love with a little push from Olive, Carter's young daughter. She provides a lot of comic relief and lightens the story. These are two men who are in need of the love and care of another, Carter meanly gossiped about by the town who don't know the actual circumstances of his life and Elijah who has physical disabilities from his time in the army and feels isolated from his family with how he wants to live his life. There's a bit of drama that comes in the form of Carter's parents but it adds a bit more to the tension and relationship building of the story.
I really enjoyed the romance and Carter's family, as many as there are, are friendly and want the best for Carter and Olive. I look forward to more from the people of Hobson Hills and the possible stories that will come.
This is also the first time I've heard Philip Fairbanks and he gives wonderful narration to the story. The voices and emotions are well portrayed and I look forward to hearing more from him in the future.

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Sweet Hills of Hobson
This is the first book in CWGrays series “Hobson Hills Omegas” and it is mpreg at it’s sweetest. The book is about Carter, a wounded veteran and Elijah, a single omega farther and their journay to happiness.
The book is fluffy and sweet and perfect for a rainy day or if you need a break from everyday troubles. I highly recommend!
