Excellent follow up to Fate of Wizardoms
Really enjoyed this 3 book follow up although slightly disappointed with the last chapter. But on the whole these are the best books I’ve read in a long time.

Perfect mix of humour, romance, action, and magic!
Looking for your next fantasy read? Well, look no further!!
These are the first 3 books in Kohanek's new series, Fall of Wizardoms, and they are all absolutely fabulous! The story is packed with heart-thumping action, hilarious snark and banter, and beautifully fleshed-out characters. It holds a far-reaching, sweeping storyline that grips you from start to finish!
And this is no ordinary tale. It is full of twists and turns you won't see coming, vivid battle scenes, and an intriguing magic system. Top that with some despicable villains, and I would like to ask: What is there not to love?
Following the events of Fate of Wizardoms, God King Rising (the 1st book) takes off running, and the story that follows refuses to let up! No matter the comic relief offered by a certain rogue, the tension always lingers in the background as events unfold. And here is a story of high stakes: the entire world is in the balance. This story is truly a heart-wrencher, so do bring some tissues along with you on the ride. I won't spoil what happens, of course, but consider yourself warned!
With its perfect mix of humour, romance, action, and magic, Fall of Wizardoms has something for everyone. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Note 1: Although Fall of Wizardoms works as a new entry point into this world by Kohanek, I believe one gets the best experience by first reading Fate of Wizardoms.
Note 2: As I listened to the audiobook, I will also point out that the narrator, Travis Baldree, does an absolutely stunning job. He does different voices for every single character, and I am just blown away at his skills as a voice actor!

Fall of Wizardoms 1-3
Raced through Fall of Wizardoms 1-3. It's like returning to a group of old friends, who are dwindling in number. Nice to see Kohanek isn't afraid to kill off key characters. And also pleasing to see he keeps adding depth to his antagonists. Now waiting to hear books 4-6. As ever Baldtree is an excellent voice actor.

Never rely of Facebook reviews
I bought the whole of this series after reading rave reviews on facebook. I listened to it for about three hours and it was deadly dull, disjointed without any obvious flow and continuity. I went back and checked the writers of the facebook reviews. You guessed it, most of them were very dodgy accounts. The narration is MidWestern US which sort of grates with a fantasy with mediaeval scenarios. The the dialogue used includes US phrases which do not sound right. There are one or two bits worth listening to, but it is drawn out and padded with extensive irrelevances that make the storyline undetectable at times.
Good for getting off to sleep maybe.

So many fake reviews
I start out by saying I enjoyed “Fate of Wizardoms”, I wish I could say the same about “Fall of Wizardoms”, by the time the story starts to get going it jumps to another storyline which happens every time something starts to get interesting, I spent way too much time trying to work out who was with each group as there are too many storylines going at the same time.
I waded through these first three books waiting, unsuccessfully, for a story to really get going but by the end of book three I still have no idea where the story is going, not in a mysterious way but in a totally confusing mess, I’m not bothering with the last three books, I can’t see them improving enough to warrant listening to, it a shame because the characters built in the first series had so much going for them yet in these books they’re pretty much “filler” characters used when the story needs a kick to wake the listener up, I will say on the positive side, the narration was very good & you could tell who was speaking at any point in the story.
