Summary
Jacobs:
For the last three years, I've lived and breathed hockey with one goal: team captain. There's only one thing standing in my way. TJ Beckett.
Beck is irresponsible and immature, and I've hated him since the moment we met freshman year. Yet the coaches see something in him I obviously can't, and they refuse to choose between us. The captain spot is going to a team vote. And the team thinks that what we need are a bunch of challenges to prove our worth. Challenges that have nothing to do with hockey. Challenges that are throwing me and Beck together. And he's still as infuriating as ever.
Beck:
I have no idea why Christopher Jacobs hates me, and I can't say I care. I like pushing his buttons, but the guy needs to loosen up.
I'm going to win these stupid challenges easily and spend my senior year as hockey king on this campus. Tormenting Jacobs at the same time will just be a bonus. Even if I'm getting confusing feelings toward him, I won't let it hold me back. When it comes to competing, I'm all in, and nothing will get between me and the W.
Contains mature themes.

Amazing!
Absolutely love it. The chemistry between the main characters is incredible, their humor complements each other without feeling like it's the same person, the sex scenes are 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Highly recommend ❤️❤️

Who's gonna be captain?
Adversaries to Lovers
Queer awakening and exploration
Jacobs and Beck are the sole participants in the most unfortunately named competition, all to become their hockey team's captain.
Jacobs has 100% decided he was straight and has deeply repressed his attraction to bros.
While Beck seems to just go with what feels good and doesn't think too deeply about that fact that he's suddenly very into touching, kissing and tasting his teammate...that he hates.
Ultimately a game of "gay chicken" back fires in the best way.
As all the Sadenverse books are, this was a fully enjoyable read with good characters that you fall for.

Love these two!!!
HELL FREAKING YEAH!!! That's what I'm talking about!!!
Loved this when I read it and I'M FREAKING ENAMORED with these two even more now that I listened to it with Iggy Toma's and Alexander Cendese's amazing narration!!!
Their rivalry, their chemistry, their feelings came alive and felt them all the more listening to their story and it was everything I was hoping to be.
Highly recommend this to all M/M College/Hockey romance lovers out there!

Fantastic story
I love this series. More adorable characters. More insights into characters from other books. Fantastic story. Beautiful journey towards a great HEA. More excellent narration. Couldn’t ask for more.

OK
It took me a long time to get into this book because I didn't like one of the main characters. Whereas others may have found his antics funny I didn't. The narrators were excellent as always.

I really wanted to like this
I found it hard to listen to. Too slow paced, not really much of a story, I had to fast forward so many times. And sorry but I didn't enjoy narratoation either. Very disappointed about this book

Nice, nothing special
Although I was amused by Beck's behavior the whole store went by quite uneventful. And the charity at the end is something every hockey romance writer comes up with. The narration was good.
